We are Ella and Alberto of Bear on Bike we offer a variety of locally grown and gathered food experiences, from underground dining to personalised tours and workshops. We provide simple, beautiful food with a focus on sustainability and tailor each event with love and care. The Bear came to us when we were looking for something to unite our various projects, which range from produce and nutrition services to eco tourism and private catering. The image of a slow movement gaining momentum stuck with us and continues to inspire our project. That's the official story, but the truth is we also just love our bikes and couldn't BEAR to live without them. Lol.

Our premises date back to the 15th century and, according to historical records, the building was the domicile of Christopher Columbus’ family in Barcelona. It’s stoned walls and original arches create an exceptional atmosphere, unique in the city of Barcelona.

My name is Yves Nicolier Sandrock and I started offering social cooking experiences in 2010.
I was born in Zürich, Switzerland in 1976. In 1982, my family moved to Barcelona. I studied journalism and had a short work experience in the PR field before switching to online marketing consultancy. After 10 years, I left online marketing consultancy to focus on my passion since I was a boy: cooking.
I consider myself a “social cooker”, sharing my passion by bringing people together around the stove and making sure that people learn by doing and experimenting the techniques and secrets of the traditional Spanish and Catalan cuisine. I now offer a variety of cooking experiences including Market to Fork and Grandma's Cooking.
