Motoi Furuya, Washoku Club's owner and chef. Born in 1976. Moved to Tokyo and started working at a Japanese Restaurant for 17 years. After leaving my company, I was involved in banquets for weddings, parties and other events while also studying English. In 2016, founded "Washoku Club". By making full use of past experiences and skills, works to spread the charm of Japanese culture overseas.

This was the highlight of our trip! Definitely! The instructor was very knowledgeable and his skills were amazing! Our class was held at Motor's house and everything was organized and already set up for us. His techniques were so cool! He first introduced Japanese culture and the importance of Japanese spices to enhance each dish. We were able to prepare and recreate Sushi, Tempura and Sashimi and other home cooking! They have such a homey atmosphere and you dont feel any pressure at all. Definitely recommended! Now i am confident in preparing Japanese food for my family.
I had a great day doing the sashimi course. I’ve written a review for the Washoku club on trip advisor. You have my permission to duplicate my review.
Good and professional Chef . Nice location and comfortable. Raccomended
Our instructor was truly outstanding - gracious, welcoming, and very creative in his presentation. We thoroughly enjoyed the class, as well as his company during the time we spent with him. I would highly recommend the class!
We've had a nice afternoon with our chef. It took us 4,5 hour (1,5 hour longer than planned) to prepare sushi, sashimi, omelet and tempura. The chef spoke English but not enough to explain everything. Our meal was great, we've had a nice cooking experience.
