Welcome at So Cook! Where you can live a fantastic learning experience, cooking, tasting and having fun. It’s time to put on the apron and start cooking. 

Our cooking classes are based on the respect of genuine and real family and traditional recipes handed down through generations. Our classes take you through the whole cooking process, highlighting the use of seasonal ingredients. During the lesson, you will eat the fruit of your labour and enjoy food paired with a tasting of local wines. 

The aim is to improve your cooking skill and your knowledge of our traditional cuisine. A state-of-the-art professional kitchen is the setting for the lessons and allows you a truly hands-on experience, so that you will be able to recreate perfectly the dishes when you return home. You will learn to cook traditional Roman and Italian style first courses in a professional and authentic way and you will go home with recipes from the lesson along with the school custom apron.

Programm

• 11:00 am: Start your hands-on cooking experience
• 2:00 pm: End of class

Upon request, we can organize cooking classes at different hours.

Menü

The class menu will include at least one of the 4 famous Roman dry pasta sauces and some other typical Italian style pasta dishes. Dishes will be prepared from scratch, according to the most advanced and successful cooking techniques proposed among the following:

• Cacio e pepe (spaghetti or rigatoni)
• Carbonara (mezze maniche or spaghetti)
• Amatriciana (bucatini)
• Gricia (rigatoni, spaghetti or mezze maniche)
• Chilli and garlic (spaghetti)
• Ragu sauce (any cut of dry pasta)
• Pesto sauce (linguine)
• Tomato and basil (any cut of dry pasta)
• Puttanesca sauce (spaghetti)
• Tuna and tomato sauce (penne, spaghetti, fusilli)
• Ricotta and pepper sauce (rigatoni, mezze maniche, fusilli)
• Alfredo sauce
• Pasta with breadcrumbs (spaghetti, linguine)
• You can learn many other traditional sauces according to the season and to the teacher's inspiration.

Upon request, when making a booking, you can also choose to make one of these dishes:

• Fresh pasta (fettuccine, fresh semolina shaped pasta: ie. orecchiette, tonnarelli, guitar spaghetti, strozzapreti, cavatelli, gnocchetti sardi, trofie)
• Risotto
• Gnocchi
• Traditional soups

Please Note: in case you forget to indicate a choice for the Menu, we will take for granted that the class will be on 1 fresh pasta recipe + sauce cooked from scratch and 1 dry pasta recipe + sauce cooked from scratch.
