Japanischer Kochkurs: Sushi und mehr in Tokio + Supermarktbesuch

Beschreibung

During the class, I will introduce you to the Japanese cuisine, showing how to display a table in an elegant way, giving you some tips about good Japanese table manners. We will then prepare one of the menus below together and finally you will enjoy your meal with a premium sake.

At the end of the course, before leaving, we will visit one of the supermarket closed to my area. I will give you some useful tips and show you which ingredients you definitely need to bring back to your country with you.

• Menu 1: Temari Sushi - The cutest way to serve Sushi (Fridays & Saturdays)

Temari Sushi is a cute mini size sushi that has round shape and colorful coloring. It’s a perfect dish for season’s celebration or party such as Hina Matsuri, Cherry blossom, etc.. This small handmade sushi was originally from Kyoto, and one of the most preferred meals of Maikos and Geishas

• Menu 2: Tempura with Yaki-Tamago - Japanese Tempura and Egg Roll (Sundays, Wednesdays & Thursdays)

"Tempura" is a Japanese traditional dish. It has been popular since Edo era. It’s seafood and vegetable dish battered and deep-fried. The secret of good tempura is in the batter recipe and the fresh ingredient. Let’s learn how to make the best crispy prawn and vegetable tempura!

• Menu 3: Karaage with Potato "Sarada" - Japanese Fried Chicken with Potato Salad (Mondays & Tuesdays)

Chicken Karaage (deep fried Chicken) is an all time favorite food and it's one of the most delicious menus to serve with white rice. It is a particularly flavored chicken, soft inside and crispy outside. Potato Salad is also another favorite Japanese side dish, loved by everyone from children to adults. Maybe the best combo for beer, sake, and wine snacks.

• 1:45 pm: Visit to a Japanese Food Market for a quick buying experience;
• 2:00 pm: End of the Course.
