The sea and the mountains surrounding the Basque capitals of Bilbao and San Sebastián are rife with ancient traditions and the freshest of ingredients. Mimo was founded in San Sebastián, and in this class, our chefs bring you the best of this culinarily rich region.
In this culinary journey, you will learn to prepare the famous Basque dishes from both the coastal fishing villages and the mountainous interior of the provinces of Gipuzkoa and Bizkaia. Bring the history and traditions of Basque Country to life in this hands-on cooking class. If you want to take away a primer on the cuisine of the Basque culture, this is the class for you.

Please be informed that our chefs adapt the menu for each class according to the market offer and the dietary requirements of the participants. This is only a sample menu:
- HAKE WITH CLAMS In salsa verde
- BRAISED OX CHEEKS With celeriac + parsnip
- WHITE ASPARAGUS King prawns + Txakoli Hollandaise
- ARTICHOKES With Jamón, almonds + olives
- TARTA DE QUESO (La Viña style)

Confirmation
You will receive the confirmation of your booking's availability within 24 hours. Once confirmed, please present your booking reference number at the cooking school.
Cancellation
If the cancellation is made up to 1 month 5% fee is charged. If the cancellation is made within 1 month to the class to 72 hours, 10% fee is charged. If the cancellation is made within 72 hours to 24 hours, 50% fee is charged. No refund will be issued if the cancellation is made 24 hours to the class.
