Cook and Eat in Rome: Learn How to Cook a 4 Courses Italian Meal

Italy is famous in the world for pasta pizza and gelato and usually tourists coming here eat for the most this amazing food.

But italian cuisine means even main courses based on meat (marrowbones, oxtail, fried lamb ribs, meatballs, tripe, eggplants parmigiana, hunter style chicken and fish.

Even if Tiramisù is the most famous dessert we have lots more such as pannacotta, millefoglie, crostata, semifreddo, wine based donuts, lava cake.

As a guest, you will prepare your 4 courses meal (fresh pasta, main course, side and dessert) guided by my help, after which we will experience our “masterpieces” together during a lovely, friendly dinner. Our italian meal making class is all about having a good time, while learning about food and dining in Rome, and relaxing over a friendly meal with good conversation!

It is possible to customize the lesson picking up 4 courses from my proposals.

When eating in Rome, a dinner is not complete without a bottle of wine!

As such, a simple wine will be served during the dinner. For special wines, it is possible to discuss it in advance.

Menu

First Course:

• Tonnarelli or Fettuccine or Pici alla amatriciana (pasta with pork cheek, tomato, pecorino) Tonnarelli or Fettuccine or Pici alla carbonara (pasta with pork cheek, egg, pecorino)
• Tonnarelli or Fettuccine or Pici all'arrabbiata (pasta with garlic, tomato, chili) 
• Tonnarelli or Fettuccine or Pici cacio e pepe (pasta with pecorino cheese and pepper)
• Gnocchi al pesto (pesto sauce)
• Gnocchi alla bolognese (with bolognese meat sauce)
• Gnocchi gorgonzola e noci (with gorgonzola and walnuts)
• Ravioli ricotta e spinaci al pomodoro  (ricotta and spinaches with tomato sauce )
• Ravioli ricotta e spinaci al burro e parmigiano ( ricotta and spinaches prepared with butter and parmigiano ) 
• Ravioli ricotta menta e limone  al burro e parmigiano (ricotta mint and lemon zest prepared with butter and parmigiano ) 
• Lasagne alla bolognese
• Cannelloni ricotta e spinaci al pomodoro e besciamella (ricotta and spinaches prepared with besciamel and tomato sauce ) 

Main Course:

• Coda alla vaccinara (braised beef tail with lard, vegetables and tomato)
• Trippa alla romana  (veal stomach with vegetables, tomato and pecorino) OR
• Polpette al sugo (meat balls with tomato sauce)
• Saltimbocca alla romana (veal slides wit ham and sage)
• Pollo alla cacciatora (chopped chicken with rosemary garlic sage wine and vinegar)
• Petto di pollo alla mugnaia ( sliced chicken chest with flour butter sage)
• Ossobuchi alla milanese (Beef marrow bones with flour butter onion celery carrot marjoram lemon zest garlic)
• Coniglio ripieno arrosto (rabbit filled with fruit sausage bread and roasted) for at least 4 persons 
• Coscia di tacchino ripiena (roasted turkey leg filled with sausage, fruits and bread) 
  Involtini alla romana (meat rolls with vegetables and mortadella)

Side:

• Carciofi alla romana (artichokes with garlic and parsley)
• Cicoria alla romana (chicory with garlic and chili)
• Piselli al tegame ( peas with bacon and onion)
• Broccoli o cavoli ripassatoi ( broccoli or cabbage with garlic and chili)
• Patate al forno ( baked potatoes)
• Peperoni arrosto (roasted bell peppers with chili and garlic)

Dessert:

• Crostata ricotta e visciole (Tart with ricotta and sour cherries)
• Ciambelline al vino (donuts with red wine and anise)
• Tiramisù 
• Millefoglie crema e frutti di bosco (puff pastry with custard and wood berries) 
• Millefoglie al cioccolato (puff pastry with cocoa custard and chocolate pieces) 
• Tortino al cioccolato con cuore tenero (tender and hot heart chocolate pie) 
• Crostata di frutta fresca (fresh fruit shortbread cake with custard) 
• Crostata di frutta (jam tart) 
• Semifreddo al cioccolato (chocolate parfait) 
• Semifreddo al pistacchio (pistachio parfait) 
• Semifreddo alle nocciole (hazelnuts parfait) 
• Semifreddo alle fragole (strawberries parfait) 
• Panna cotta alla frutta ( fruit cooked milk cream)
