Cooking Class And Sidecar In Cu Chi Tunnels Area

Sidecar is an ancient car in the second world war with a balance of motorbike and car. You will have a trip with hands-on cooking experience and Cu Chi tunnels historical visit in one day. We will pick you up from the hotel by car, through the high way and change to Sidecar when arriving at the Cu Chi district. 

We gather at Opera House (7 Cong Truong Lam Son Street, Ben Nghe Ward, Dist 1) and leave for Cu Chi District, which is located about 30 km away from the city, in our van. Upon arrival in the district, we change to side-car. On the way, you are welcome to take in the fresh air of rural countryside while enjoying the brilliant view of lush green or golden rice fields speckled with black water buffaloes, here and there stand out the peaceful daily activities of local people.

Reaching our destination, there are 3 levels of over 250 km of secret tunnels far below ground for you to explore; unearth untold stories of secret entrances, bamboo traps, air holes, bobby traps; examine relics and remnants of the Vietnam War; and most excitingly, crawl for yourself inside the tunnels!

Next, we take you to a vegetable farm in side-car where you grab the tools and learn how to collect herbs, exotic fruit and luscious vegetables - ingredients for cooking class. After that, we proceed to a house in a large, cool and peaceful natural farm where you learn to make 4 dishes- selected Vietnamese cuisine’s highlights. We head back to Saigon via our van.

Schedule

• 8:00 am: Gather at the Opera House and heading to Cu Chi District  
• 9:30 am: Reach Cu Chi tunnels area and change to Sidecar. 
• 12:00 am: Reached the destination and explore the area
• 1:00 pm: Visit the vegetable farm
• 1:30 pm: Start cooking!
• 5:00 pm: Head back to your hotel via our private van
