What I liked: I loved the information sheet filled with drawings and important information on Japanese food and culture that Yuca gave to us before the class started. Yuca was also a great host and served us Japanese tea when we arrived in her kitchen. We were also given a selection of sakes to drink with our meals!
What to know: Most of the cooking is done altogether as a team! We were all given different tasks to do, it was great teamwork!
Good for: Families and small group looking for a great team building experience.
How to get there: Tabata metro station. Included short taxi ride to Yuca’s house.
Home-style Ramen & Gyoza:
The classes are vegetarian and Halal applicable.
Meeting point is at JR Tabata station (North Exit)

Awesome class! Very tasty recipes. YUCa was very professional, knowledgeable, well-spoken and made us all feel welcome in her home. She gave us her local recommendations of where to shop and eat after the class for cooking utensils.
This was intimate, personal and well organised. My colleague and I were lucky enough to have just the two of us, and the experience was exciting, knowledgeable and memorable. Yuca made Japanese cooking simple, when i was anxious that it would be difficult. I will be back again.
The chef gave us a little information about Japanese Cuisine and the Japanese philosophy about how to create a balanced healthy meal. She was great in keeping people involved by doing various tasks and the food was very good. I enjoyed the experience very much.
I really recommend experiencing this Ramen and Gyoza cooking lesson by YUCa! Even before the cooking lesson, YUCa has been very friendly and informative on Japanese Cooking. Her place is very inviting and her kitchen interior is wonderful. Cooking with her was fun and the finished product was delicious. Never knew we could experience cooking ramen and gyoza from scratch. She also let us try two of her husband's premium Japanese sake products (a welcome bonus!). Overall, the lesson was awesome! Book her, you won't regret it! :)
Yuca's cooking class was one of my best experience we had during our trip to Tokyo! Apart from learning various dishes, I also learned so much about how the flavors and textures worked together to make a meal authentically Japanese.
I signed up for this class while working for a few days in Tokyo. It was a fun experience and well-taught. I learned how to cook Gyoza and Okonomiyaki and it was super tasty. I definitely recommend Yuca's cooking class during your time in Tokyo.
We learned some interesting background about Japanese cuisine and had so much fun cooking ramen and gyoza. Yuca is a lovely host and makes a great effort for a personal experience. The food came out great and we had a delicious meal.
I joined YUCa's Japanese cooking class with. I chose the Ramen & Gyoza class. I met her at the JR Tabata station, which is the main line that runs in the center of Tokyo. - Super easy access! After I moved to her beautiful house, I was fascinated by the Japanese modern interior design. - High sense! Her class started from the very informative lecture about Japanese cuisine. After the lecture, cooking session started. I and other 2 companies all did the hands-on experience during the class. YUCa checked every of us and gave us advice in person. - Interactive cooking! After the cooking session, we tried the Japanese table settings same as she told us in the lecture. We all tasted our final products. - Super delicious outcome!! She recommended us to taste Japanese premium sake. I tried the dry sake and Yuzu (Japanese citrus) sake. Both are my favorite, of course. . Conclusion : I actually took several other cooking classes while visiting Tokyo and I think her class was the BEST for me. I could learn the most of Japanese cooking. I am planning to take her another class. Thanks, YUCa and Cookly team!
