I created this cooking experience because I really want my guests to see great selection of Japanese local ingredients, and also discover how we shop and eat in our real life.
As a cooking teacher, I regularly visit many markets — from farmer’s market to international gourmet markets. I believe ingredients are the most important thing in cooking, not your skill, so you must have a market you trust. I will take you to a market I truly trust in Tokyo, which is known for their fresh product, wide selection of ingredients, and customer care.
You'll learn about the ingredients of fundamental of Japanese cooking. I will also explain what makes wagyu so special, how to recognize fresh fish, and much more.
My goal for this experience is for my guests to confidently choose good quality ingredients back home and re-create this class menu for their family and friends.
