Did you know that macarons actually have Italian origins?
In this cooking class, I'll teach you the Italian method to preparing delicious macarons, from preparing the filling (ganache) to making Italian meringue with almond paste. Together, we'll use a sac à poche to pipe the macarons. Once they're in the oven, the entire kitchen will be filled with the sweet scent of homemade macarons.
I'm a professional pastry chef and I've loved cooking since I was very young. I'm Neapolitan, this is probably why! Cooking is at the heart of our culture. I'm particularly in love with Italian-style macarons, and would like to share my passion with you by teaching you the secrets to making the perfect macaron.
As an added bonus, we will first meet at the Piazza San Salvatore in Lauro, which dates from the 16th century and has a magnificent view of Castel Sant'Angelo. Then we'll head to my apartment nearby to start our macaron class!
