Gain a local introduction to Kyoto’s food culture with this small-group guided tour and cooking experience. Start at the deliciously vast 400-year-old Nishiki Market, nicknamed 'Kyoto's Kitchen,' where over 130 shops and stalls will beckon your taste buds. Stroll through the Market and learn about its history and taste the sample snacks.
What makes this tour even more special is a 1.5-hour cooking class making Western Japanese style local dishes such as Inari sushi, miso soup, egg omelette, and marinated vegetable. During the lesson, you will learn homemade, traditional technique of Japanese cooking. You can enjoy your edible creation for lunch along with a selection of paired Shochu "Japanese distilled alcohol" after the lesson.
Cooking ingredients, tools and lunch with a beverage are all included. Just please bring your empty stomach!!
