Prehispanic and Traditional Food Tour in Mexico City's Downtown

We will meet in Mexico City's historical center and from there, we will walk to the places where we can find some of the most traditional dishes in the Mexican cuisine. 

While we will have different types of tacos, we will also try some of the dishes and beverages that have been part of the Mexican cuisine even in Prehispanic times. We will try the very traditional pulque, a sacred beverage for the Aztecs. We will also explore some of the more exotic side of the Mexican food, tasting some insects and meats like iguana, armadillo and crocodile.

We will finish the tour with one refreshing chocolate drink and a great view in a terrace in Selina Mexico City Mexico City's downtown.

• Several traditional dishes that we can find in the streets and restaurants of Mexico City.
• Pulque, a maguey-based beverage, in one of the most traditional places in Mexico City.
• Different insects that have been (and still are) traditionally part of the Mexican gastronomy. 
• Quesadillas with exotic fillings, such as huitlacoche, iguana and crocodile.
• A traditional chocolate beverage
• We cater for vegetarians, vegans, food allergies and restrictions. We need to know in advance.

Programme

Meeting is in front of the Palacio de Bellas Artes. 

We will try +9 traditional dishes and beverages. Besides that, you can try several types of insects and bugs.

From there, we will walk around Mexico City's downtown.
