An ideal cooking class for those looking to master something different.
This Italian cooking adventure begins as any should, at the local open-air market shopping for fresh produce and soaking up the wonderful atmosphere. Your Chef will be on hand to introduce you to the market and explain all the wonderful ingredients.
The palazzo is a short walk from the market. Upon arrival you will be welcomed with some fresh antipasti and a glass of prosecco. Once settled, take an apron and it is time to cook!
Parmigiana has become one of the most iconic Italian dishes and signifies a layered dish oozing mozzarella and tomato. The Sicilian speciality is traditionally made with eggplant and basil, yet you can actually make this dish with an array of different ingredients. We will make it depending on what we find at the market.
Likewise with gnocchi - these fluffy clouds of deliciousness - are routinely made with potato but as you will discover they can be made with other vegetables also. They are also only supposed to be eaten on Thursdays in Rome but we will make an exception!
For dessert the class will make a delicious panna cotta.
To conclude the class the groups come together to be served lunch with the food they have prepared, complete with local wines.
