It's Sakura season, the city will be covered by pink and whilte. We will walk to Yoyogi Park which is 15-minute walk from our studio. The park is a famous location to enjoy Hanami( cherry blossom viewing) season, the beautiful Meiji Jingu Shrine is just next to Yoyogi park. On the way to the park, we will chat about the tradition and story during the Sakura season.

Sushi Making 

The sushi class includes three kinds of sushi (Temari, Nigiri and Gunkan-makiax), Chawan-mushi (Japanese steamed egg custard) and miso soup. Can enjoy making tasty and healthy sushi, talking with new friends and food. If you don't know Chawan-mushi yet, try it, it's very yummy. And you can learn how to make real Miso soup. It's absolutely different from an instant one in the supermarket. You will know the culture and history behind the soup too.

Preparing a dish is a combination of arts and crafts. Cooking is only a small part of the production process. Each ingredient is carefully and selected and matched with the main ingredient in a definite order and manner. Does it make you think of a symphony orchestra? Yes. A dish is a symphony of perfectly matched tastes.

Japanese home-style

The purpose of cooking is to release the tastes and flavours of the ingredients in definite proportions to each other. Cooking at the right temperature for the right duration is very crucial to the final taste of any dish, and this is more particularly true for the Japanese dishes.

You can learn authentic Japanese home cooking and the food culture during the class. Gyoza dumplings are popular in Japan. To make gyoza is very fun. First we spread the gyoza pastry and wrap it with fillings from fresh ingredients. Enjoy the good time of hands-on experience and tasty, healthy gyoza with your new friends in class. 

Our kitchen studio is several minutes walk from the famous Shibuya crossing. It's easy to find.

[Sushi Menu]: Full-course Meal

About the sushi

• Temari sushi: ball-shaped sushi with a topping of fresh seafood, or vegetables.
• Nigiri sushi: hand-formed sushi with a topping of seafood, etc.
• Gunkan-maki: nori wrapped style sushi, making a small space with the rolling nori on the top of the rice ball and enabling sushi chef to place salmon row, sea urchin and other things which are something fluid there.
• We use salmon, tuna, egg, cucumber, shrimps, etc for ingredients but they will change depending on the season.

• Gyoza dumplings
• Kara-age (Japanese Fried Chicken)
• Chicken Nanban: fried chicken coated in a crispy egg batter
• Teriyaki Fish: A cooking technique to broil or grill with sauce
• Simmered vegetables

The menu will base on the school's daily fresh ingredient
The class is vegetarian-friendly, everyone can enjoy the class together(also can do fish dish)
If you're interested in Japanese sake, plus on fee is JPY 700 per person, pay on arrival

• 10:30 am: Meet at the cooking studio
• 11:00 am: Start the cooking session
• 12:30 pm: Enjoy the lunch
• 1:00 pm: End of the class

Dinner session:

• 6:00 pm: Meet at the cooking studio
• 6:30 pm: Start the cooking session
• 8:00 pm: Enjoy the dinner
• 8:30 pm: End of the class
