It's a short walk through the beautiful historic center to Federico's apartment which is in the heart of Trastevere (one of the oldest parts of Rome). It is here that you begin to become a ''Chef in a Day'' and the cooking adventure starts! You will be taught from scratch how to make 3 different fresh pastas from 2 different doughs (a long pasta, a stuffed pasta and a short pasta), prepare a traditional second course of meat or fish with vegetables, and a delicious dessert.The lesson is ''hands-on'' and will take approximately 5 hrs. All the recipes will be explained in detail, and many tricks and tips will be given during the class. Chef Federico does not only teach recipes, he explains the ''why'' and ''how'' of the methods taught.

No set menu. We decide the menu together once at the market.

"It was great! I learned so much from theory to practice, which made it all more easily applicable"

I enjoyed the class very much and wish to do something similar again. I used to cook before, but after studying for exams and starting to work, i have gotten lazy and took take aways. This course done by a chef showed me that making handmade fresh pasta is not impossible, and tastes completely different. Especially the gnocchi!! The pomodero salsa madre is not hard tomake and all the little scientific facts made it so much easier to remember what to do and what not to do. This course has helped me get a hold of my meal habits, and I will cook more from now on!

I love cooking, took many different classes around the world and really enjoyed the content of this one and the passion of the chefs Frederico and Fabrizo who gave them. You can tell they love passing on their knowledge as much as they love the magic of cooking. They help you understand the chemistry behind the cooking steps which is important to be able to create on your own. This class was also very unique because not only did we learn about traditional italian cuisine, but the chefs gave their recipes a very modern-fusion-molecular touch I really appreciated and can't wait to show off to my friends. It was also wonderful to see them plating our dishes in a very instagrammable way. Pure art!
