Enjoy a tour at Ben Thanh Market where you will have the chance to see the lively activities of a traditional Vietnamese market. Our chef and your guide will also teach you how to recognize and choose the numerous herbs and the different Vietnamese fruits and vegetables. You will then go back to the cookery centre to enjoy a hands-on cooking class.

Our chef in white uniform and an interpreter with the sign "Vietnam Cookery Centre" will meet you at the main entrance of Ben Thanh market on Le Loi St. at 8:30 am.

Monday:

Fresh Spring Rolls (Goi Cuon)
Sweet & Sour Fish Soup with Vegetables (Canh Chua Ca)
Caramelized Fish in Clay Pot (Ca Kho To)
Steamed Rice with Lemongrass (Com Hap Sa)
Dessert: Banana Coconut Cream Pops (Kem Chuoi)

Tuesday:

Green Papaya Salad With Prawn (Goi Du Du Tom)
Vietnamese Spring Rolls (Cha Gio)
BBQ Pork Tenderloin (Thit Heo Nuong)

"Awesome and fun"

Fun and interesting session. everything was well prepared and organized. The staff are very helpful and friendly too.

The food was delicious and the market tour very informative. The cooking class was perfect.

"Family Experience"

This is an experience that we will treasure. My family loves to cook and during our vacation in Vietnam our hotel recommended this cooking class and we did not think twice about it. We enjoyed our tour at Ben Thanh market wherein we had the chance to see how Vietnamese market works. Our chef was also very kind and accommodating. He taught us how to recognize and choose different herbs and vegetables. As a family, it was a great experience to bond with food and also culture. We had some complimentary Viet tea and the school gave us a recipe book so that we can recreate the dish at home.

The market tour was informative and interesting. Our translator was knowledgeable and easy to understand. Chef demonstrated both basic and advanced skills and methods. The staff were patient and attentive. We had ample opportunities for hands-on preparation and cooking. To save time, some ingredients had been pre-prepared but this didn't distract from the overall experience. A thoroughly enjoyable class which provided greater insight into local food preparation.

Great class. Thank you. Chef was skilled and the interactive demonstration of our 5 courses engaged me totally. Delicious food and a happy way to spend 4 hours. I really enjoyed exploring the Ben Thanh market stalls and having the use of various herbs / fruits and fish explained. Thanks so much.
