Perfect for curious travelers, food lovers, and cultural explorers, this experience offers a relaxed, interactive setting that feels just like a home kitchen. You'll have your own cooking station, the freedom to ask questions, and the chance to make mistakes and learn along the way.

Arrive at Masala Medley and check in. Meet your instructor and get settled at your cooking station.

Introduction to Indian Cooking & Spices

Learn about the essential spices used in Indian cuisine, their roles, how they’re layered, and a few substitution tips. We’ll also walk through today’s menu.

Prep & Cook: Pakora (Appetizer)

Start with a comforting appetizer — pakoras made with spiced gram flour batter and fried to crispy perfection.

Take a short break and enjoy your pakoras

Cook: Chicken Curry + Rice, Papadum & Cucumber Pachdi

Next, we dive into the main course. You’ll cook chicken curry step by step

Eat Your Main Course

Sit down to enjoy the chicken curry you just cooked.

Make: Kesari (Dessert)

Return to your station to make a sweet semolina dessert called Kesari, flavored with ghee, cardamom, and cashew nuts.

Brew: Masala Chai

Learn to brew your own cup of masala chai with spices and milk.

Dessert & Tea Time

Relax and enjoy your Kesari and masala chai together.

Wrap-Up & Farewell

Hi Renee, thank you again for the session yesterday!! my sister and i really enjoyed it-balik rumah also she still kept on raving that she made chicken curry from scratch! we learned a lot, and ate a lot too!! wishing you all the best with the new venture and we hope the feedbacks we gave in between sessions were helpful. take care! and also i accidentally left my lip balm and nail buffer in the green apron so sorry, but you can just throw it away haha, thank you again!

"The Best Cooking Class in Asia – Authentic, Welcoming, and Unforgettable!"

We had a cooking class with Renee at Masala Medley and it was absolutely brilliant. We are currently travelling Asia and we've done a cooking class in every country we have been too, and this one is by far the best even though it's brand new. The class itself is in a freshly renovated property that has a large seating area where you sit down, learn about all the spices, why and how to cut and mix the ingredients. You then move to the cooking area that's spacious and great decor. Once you've cooked your dishes you head to another cozy and warm dining area to enjoy your food. The whole place is very rustic, warm, stylish, inviting and very clean. The ingredient pots, entire decor gives the whole place an authentic family feel to the place. Renee is a fantastic teacher and her Mum is great too. They were very informative about Indian spices and ingredients and how to use them, the recipes are family recipes which adds a great personal touch. If you are in Kuala Lumpur and looking for a cooking class we couldn't recommend it higher.

Take the staircase on the left side of the bakery and head up to the first floor. You'll see the Masala Medley sign at the entrance.
