Meet up with your guide downtown and embark on a 30-minute walk out to a nearby farm, set in the thick vegetation of a rainforest. Get ready for a behind-the-scenes look at how they grow and harvest fruit and vegetables. Taste exotic fruit and native-to-Costa Rica vegetables as you tour the grounds, learning about agricultural and farm-to-table practice along the way.

Keep your eyes open for wildlife in the treetops above, like chattering toucans hopping between branches, and then take a peek at how cocoa is harvested. Try a few bites of the finished product yourself, and then close out your agrarian adventure with a return ride to Puerto Viejo.
