Great cuisine is not always made in an obvious place. Dedary Kriyamaha is proud to share the unique skill & secret recipe. Under guidance by our Balinese Gourmet Chef, you can learn how to prepare local delicious food.

Cooking venue is inside the Kenderan Restaurant looking to the jungle, and you will start by shopping in Ubud traditional market at 08:00 am for approximately one hour, where you will find Balinese spices & vegetables displayed and sold in a traditional way.

For approximately one and half hours, our Chef will share his secret dishes recipes and followed with your memorable luncheon. Take home our secret recipe as our gift and impress your family & friends with your Balinese cooking skills.

Reservation is required at least one day in advance and our chef will please to meet you for further arrangement.

Schedule

Everyday

7:15 am: Pick up at your hotel (or meet at Ubud Tourist Information Center at 07:30am if you stay outside Ubud)
8:00 am: Local market tour
8:45 am: Arrive at our Balinese kitchen (Introduction and coffee or tea is served)
10:00 am: Cooking session and tasting
1:00 pm: Time to enjoy your dish
1:45 pm: End of the cooking experience and ready to back to Ubud

"Perfect day in Ubud!"

We attended this cooking class last week and it was one of the highlights of my trip! I am very big on cooking and love learning about different countries ways of using ingredients and staples. The market tour was a perfect start to get an insight and taste some of the different ingredients we don’t have in Australia, from there continued back to our private cooking hut where we had a very hands on class with our hilarious and lovely teacher ‘Water Scoop’. His English was awesome and explained everything in depth and showed a real passion for cooking! The scenery/view from our private hut was incredible and gave us a real sense of feeling we were in the middle of Ubud. To finish off we ate all of the cooked dishes in the restaurant and every dish did not disappoint! My favourite was the fish cooked in banana leaf with tomato and the yellow paste which we made from scratch. I cannot wait to cook the menu for my family when I am back home in Sydney!

"Best & memorable experience in Bali!!!"

Run away from the busy Seminyak to Ubud. My French husband wants to learn how to make delicious Balinese food so I booked him this cooking class with DEDARY KRIYAMAHA UBUD. We loved it!!!! Best experience in Bali. Chef Made he is very kind, friendly, he took us to traditional market to showed us fresh ingredients we gonna use for the class, and see how local women prepare their morning in the market by shopping groceries, making canang, etc. After, we go back to Dedary Kriyamaha’s traditional kitchen (where they also grow fresh herbs for us to pick our self), and chef Made taught us how to make 4 Balinese dishes, including dessert. He was very patient, fun, and friendly. The staff there is also very kind and makes you feels like home. Around 1pm, we enjoyed “our dish” in their restaurant with beautiful rice fields view, while looking to local farmers working on the rice fields. What a memorable experience, Thanks for Chef Made, Bli Yoga, Pak Eka, Mbak Nita and all staff of Dedary Kriyamaha Ubud for made our day. We would definitely recommend this class to our friends who will visit Bali.

We absolutely loved this experience! You're in the middle of a jungle! We started with a market tour and then the hands-on traditional cooking. Delicious food! Highly recommended
