About

Learn all the secrets about the Portuguese gastronomy while you cook your own dinner. During the class, we will share with you all the tips and secrets about the recipes. In the end, we will pair our dinner with Portuguese red and white wine or soft drinks. Wine and snacks will be available during the class: some people say the best way to cook is with a glass of wine in your hand.

What to expect: While pastry is a science, cooking is an art, so we will have recipes to guide us. We will do some free-style during the class, so if you like to take notes bring a pen, since you will have the printed recipes to take home with you.

You will mainly learn about the Portuguese way of cooking and its ingredients. On our classes you’ll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors. You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class.

"Fun!"

My 13-year old son and I had a wonderful experience cooking Portuguese dishes for the first time. Chef Rita is warm and friendly. She eagerly answered all my food-related questions, and gave us a quick overview of the wines in the different regions of Portugal while waiting for our cooking classmates. She also shared with us the Portuguese technique of cooking bacalhau, baked chicken and her grandma’s delicious orange cake. We’ll surely try to cook them all back home in Manila. Thank you Chef Rita!

"Fantastic!"

Really wonderful mix of cooking, food, wine and history. Engaging teacher and great setting for learning some basic cooking techniques and creating some repeatable-at-home Portuguese dishes. We requested fish and it was superb. Will be taking at least one more class while I am here.

"Excellent and Fun"

Rita was an excellent instructor and we enjoyed all three dishes we prepared. The Angel’s Double Chins were deliciously sweet. The wines were excellent. We look forward to making cod recipes at home as the bacalau salad was really nice too. The shredded chicken with potato and eggs was a dish we had never had before. Worth the visit.

"Best Cooking Class Ever Taken!"

We take cooking classes occasionally and I would say this is the best ever! We learned all about the history of the foods in Portugal, we learned how to make authentic Portuguese dishes by doing it hands-on. The facility is spotless with state-of-the art equipment and appliances. She was delightful with her delivery and we had some great discussions about food and wine. We had some great laughs and truly enjoyed her company as we cooked and sat down to eat what we had prepared. We spent 10 days in Portugal and this was the highlight of our trip and we would recommend taking any of her classes!
