Cooking fresh seasonal food bought in the local market and is a unique way to experience Italian culture.

Market tours and cooking classes are held on the morning of market days, in English, by Chef Clara: she is an enthusiastic Italian foodie in her mid-forties, a Le Cordon Bleu graduate, an experienced Italian cookery teacher and a certified sommelier. She loves to cook and has shared her passion for food and wine with people from all over the world for many years. Her aim is to combine teaching cookery with the traditions, habits and customs of the Italian way of life.

We meet in the morning at Cook in Milano with Clara and take a short walk together to the nearby local fruits and vegetables open-air market to buy fresh seasonal products for the class. Then it’s back to Clara’s kitchen in a typical Italian home to have a chat about the menu of the day. Now it’s time to “wash your hands”, tie on your apron and come into the kitchen to cook a complete traditional Italian meal together: four traditional Italian recipes, depending on the season and the availability of ingredients in the local market.

All ingredients are of first-class quality, 100% Italian, fresh, organic and available worldwide wherever you live. The aim of the school is to teach how to prepare the meal yourself, from the antipasto to the coffee, so that you can repeat it in future for your family and friends, a very special souvenir to take home!

After two-and-a-half hours of fun in the kitchen, the moment finally comes to taste the results of our teamwork, sitting around the table in a typical Italian dining room to eat what we have prepared, and drink Italian wines chosen by our sommelier, who will explain the wine and the reasons for the choice/pairing.

At the end you will receive a true Italian cooking diploma and a printed recipe booklet - a the souvenir to last a lifetime!

Morning Class

8.30 am: Open-air food market visit to buy fresh local seasonal organic ingredients
9.45 am: Back to school, daily menu briefing, wear aprons and wash hands
10:00 am: Preparing a home-made pasta, risotto, gnocchi or soup; then main dish (meat, fish or vegetables) and a dessert (tiramisù, fruit or chocolate cake, gelato or panna cotta)
10:15 am: Start preparing ingredients with hands-on technique and explanation on each ingredients.
10:45 am: Cooking session begins, Time to have some fun with our daily menus
12:30 am: Enjoy your customize and flavorful dishes
1:30 pm: End of class

"Perfect experience"

My day with Clara started with a visit to the market to buy fresh local ingredients. We came back to the apartment and we prepared the food we bought. I do every step by my self from cleaning the vegetables to cooking.I enjoyed the class very much so the time flies real fast. Clara's class is a small class, so she took care everybody closely. Our group had wine with lunch and homemade lemoncillo. I highly recommend this class.

"Enjoyable Class"

The market tour was interesting, it was great to see local produce and to hear about the foods currently in season. The cooking class was hands on, Clara is extremely organised, very knowledgable, and so passionate about food & wine. It was really enjoyable and the recipes are very practical so you can try them easily at home.

I have so much fun at Cook in Milano First, we went to the market to buy some stuff so I've learn a lot by visiting the market. Clara is a skilled chef. Her recipe is terrific! I got to do every step by myself by following Clara's instruction. I'm not very good at cooking, but all the dishes came out very good! Shouldn't missed!

The market that we went to buy the ingredients needed is simply amazing. Then we went back to Clara’s home and started our cooking in a lovely atmosphere - like a group of friends. Clara is extremely a good host. We enjoyed our prepared dishes together and also drink Italian wine. I was very happy and had so much fun. It's my amazing experience. I highly recommend it.
