About
We share our special recipes with you that have been inherited and served in our family. The dishes we teach are very simple and easy to make. Each takes from 20 to 40 minutes. We especially put importance on the fact that you can make them when you go back to your country.
Menu
Choose from our 5 options:
- Hand made Udon, Chawanmushi and Japanese dessert class
- Shiratama-dango (Sweet rice flour called Shiratamako is used for Shiratama-dango) and Matcha class
- Tempura-soba and Chawnmushi class
- Tempura-soba and Tamagoyaki (Omuretto) class
- Okonomiyaki (Japanese pancake) Yakisoba and Japanese dessert class
Schedule
Lunch Course (You can choose all 5 options)
- 10:00 am: Meeting at Tobu Hikifune Station
- 10:30 am: Cooking time
- 12:00 pm: Meal time
- 2:00 pm: Finish time
Dinner Course (You can only choose"Udon" option)
- 5:00 pm: Meeting at Tobu Hikifune Station
- 5:30 pm: Cooking time
- 7:00 pm: Meal time
- 8:30 pm: Finish time

"An udon experience"
Last week we met Masako for an udon cooking class in Hikifune, Tokyo. It was a great experience. Masako is a wonderful hostess, very kind and with an ability to make you feel at home right away. We did go home not only with the knowledge how to make udon, but also with a big smile on our faces. I can truly recommend this cooking class!

"Perfect time spent with family"
We are really happy that we have taken this Japanese Udon cooking class. The class is close to many famous tourist locations, so I highly recommend to join this class. The staff are friendly and are able to explain everything well. Great for family, friends, or couples.
"Excellent cooking class"
We were pleasantly surprised to find how enthusiastic the instructors was sharing Japanese culture with us. They were patiently explaining us how to make the different tasty dishes (udon, tamagoyaki, and matcha agar). We asked a lot of questions and they kindly answered, and made sure that we left the course with a full stomach and new insights in Japanese food culture.
"Fun cultural experience"
For those who are looking for cooking class as a cultural experience in Japan, I'd highly recommend Shitamachi Yoitoko. The best part of the experience was to interact and have a nice conversation with Masako and Mariko. Not only were they excellent hosts, but learning about their lives in Japan was truly interesting and fun.
