There are few better ways to start the day than with a chilled, zen-like baking class at The Greek Kitchen.

Join one of our fabulous home bakers for a morning of pounding dough, combining flavours and producing a batch of baked goods including a traditional loaf, savoury mini pies and something sweet.

Take your time, drink some tea and get to know your baker; they're super friendly and have some great stories to tell you.

Gather up your goodies in a box and take them away for a picnic, there are so many wonderful spots in Athens to eat and enjoy the view.

This morning class is perfect to do with children and beginners.

Kremidopita: This amazingly simple pastry recipe is made using Greek yoghurt, we'll make pies stuffed with onions and herbs
Portokalokaloura: Sweet and crunchy orange cookies, perfect with a cup of tea or coffee
As much tea as you can drink will be served with this class

"Just Wow"

My wife and I had a tremendously wonderful cooking experience. We really learned how to cook some fabulous Greek dishes, including Moussaka, fava beans, spinach pie, and orange pie. The Yogurt based salad dressing was amazing. The chef was engaging and fun. The price was worth it just for the food. We ate a big dinner and took home enough for another big dinner. The walk through the market was informative and so necessary for me to learn the best places to shop since I am spending three months here. Could not be more pleased with the experience.

I really enjoyed my class with sweet Pigi. I was the only student, which I really appreciated as I realise many classes would have cancelled if this were the case. The class was really relaxing, taking place out on a little cute terrace leading off from the kitchen area, which was a great size for an intimate class. Pigi was very clear, friendly and helpful in her approach. It was my first time attending any kind of baking class and it has given me the confidence I need to practice at home and also to look for more experiences. The food we prepared was delicious ( thanks to Pigi's skills!) and I had lots of treats to take home and share with my husband, who was very happy :) I'm actually surprised how much we made in 3 hours and really look forward to making them again at home. I also got to try some lovely 'mountain tea' when the baking was happening and I tried grape molasses for the first time. I will certainly return when i visit Athens again in the future for more tasty delights! Thank you again!
