Hands-on Japanese Cooking Class for Beginners in a Restaurant by a Chef

课程介绍

Hands-on cooking classes will be held at our Japanese cuisine restaurant "Tokitarazu" in Hiroo, which is an upscale residential area in Tokyo. You can learn from the basics of cooking to professional Kaiseki cuisine (traditional Japanese cuisine). Also, you will enjoy Sake paired with dishes.

Our instructor, who has mastery of Kaiseki cuisine, will guide you step by step how to make the dishes and decorate the plates.

Specifically you will learn, e.g., how to make Dashi (soup stock), how to make Sumeshi (sushi rice), and how to use cooking utensils and prepare ingredients, so even beginner chefs can have a great time!

In this cooking class, you can enjoy opportunities for:

• Learning the authentic and traditional food culture based on Kaiseki cuisine;
• Enjoying Sake paired with dishes;
• Taking home the recipes for traditional Japanese dishes for each of the four seasons (the recipes will vary from season to season)

(*Please note that you cannot change the date of your experience less than 72 hours before the experience starting time. Please allow us some time to arrange and prepare fresh ingredients for you.)

• 2:30 pm: Meet us at our restaurant! (wash your hands, put on your apron, and get ready for your lesson!)
• 2:45 pm: Introduction of Instructor, and lecture on the basics of Japanese Cuisine
• 3:00 pm: Brief Explanation of Recipes, Demonstration & Hands-On Cooking
• 4:30 pm: Plating & Decoration
• 4:45 pm: Enjoy your dinner with Japanese Sake!
• 5:30 pm: End of the class
