Begin at a coffee shop in the market and pick up some basic Vietnamese to help with your shopping at Hoi An Central Market. Visit the vibrant market and immerse yourself in the amazing sights, sounds, and aromas that fill the area. You’ll also have the chance to interact with merchants as you purchase the ingredients for your cooking lesson. Selecting fresh, high-quality ingredients is crucial — if your ingredients are fresh and vibrant, your dishes will be delicious and fragrant; otherwise, they may fall short. Vietnamese cuisine is diverse, with a wide range of flavors and ingredients.

After shopping, enjoy a boat ride from the market to the local house, soaking in the beautiful ancient town scenery along the way. Your local host will enthusiastically demonstrate how to prepare each dish before guiding you in the preparation of your own. After the lesson, you'll savor the meal you've cooked. Through this experience, we hope you’ll gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of Vietnamese cuisine in general, and Hoi An cuisine in particular. After the class, you'll receive an e-recipe to practice at home.
