Great evening of cooking an array of Balinese food. The instructors were very helpful and great at explaining . Food was delicious and made for a super fun experience. The driver picking us up was an extra bonus. Thank you

After a visit to a local market, we were then given a wonderful personal cooking experience where we cooked so many dishes and ate way too much food. Would recommend this to all - we had so much fun :)

Me and my partner had such a great time at the cooking class, we were taught how to cook many authentic dishes, the teacher was really friendly, the food tasted great, would really recommend!

It was a raining trip to Bali with all our plans cancelled. We frantically reshuffled our scheduled trying to make the most out of it. Cookly booking system was super user friendly and easy to search, esp when you have limited time and they even have classes on a Sunday/ Christmas Day. I booked at 3pm for the next day and got the confirmation within 3 hours. The entire cooking exp needless to say was super amazing, authentic and delicious! I am able to take what I learned and cook a Balinese feast when I return home. I will definitely book with cookly next time when I travel

A wonderful and personally professional class. We had four adults and two children (1 year old and 3 year old). We skipped the market tour due to Covid-19 risks. The class was fun for all of us and the owners were great at getting the babes to interact. We loved making baskets, the food was delicious and the environment safe, clean and friendly. Great class to learn the backbone of a lot of Balinese dishes. Learning in a Balinese family compound and learning the intricacies of the offerings made a better understanding of what I had seen everywhere in Bali. The preparation of the pastes which then form the backbone of the dishes you cook confirm how the dishes connect with helpful tips of ingredients which can be substituted. The test of any course for me was to go home and prepare a Balinese feast for six of my friends . Thank you wayan for your kindness

We were staying with friends for two weeks, they love their fruit and trendy European restaurants, so it was nice to share what we had learnt and treated then to some authentic Bali cooking. It was a great introduction to some new and interesting ingredients that shall be regular choices in our UK weekly shop. Not only did we learn culinary skills but weaving of palm leaves and the cultural importance of what we had made. Thanks for a thrilling day with lots of smiles and full tummies.

The welcome into the family compound followed by the making of an offering was lovely. I enjoyed making the little bamboo basket into which rice was put and cooked. This was followed by making several Balinese dishes. Overall, a great experience to include in a Bali experience.

We really enjoyed getting the chance to cook in a family compound and understand how these traditional Balinese dishes are made. It was all delicious and we had a feast!

Add to cook lunch, we can make canang, Balinese offering. So, we can learn a little about Balinese hinduism. After that, we cook our lunch. Many of ingredients are unique to south-east in asia, but we can use something in your own county as a substitute.

Thanks for the relaxing and awesome cooking experience. We will definitely go back and whip up some Balinese traditional dishes to our family and friends!

I have attended 3 cooking classing in Bali Cookly was the best my far so much hands on learnt so much Staff were very patient friendly & most of all welcoming So looking forward to attending future classes

We loved the class and our instructors are very patient and knowledgeable. We enjoyed making the offering basket as well as all the cooking! Absolutely a must do for anyone interested in learning more about Bali food and transitions. It was all hands on experience and you get a lot of great recipes to take home with you and try.

Really enjoyed our cooking class. Cooked up a number of traditional Indonesian recipes and got to take a cooking book with us. Great class

This was a great day with a wonderful teacher. Short drive to our host chefs house then on to cooking, made a wide variety of meals and techniques, I would highly recommend this to all levels of ability.

The people who are working there, they we‘re are all welcoming and lovely. I loved the food and the way we cooked it. It was all good explained and you‘re able to do 80% by your own. All in all it was an amazing experience!

If you’re looking for an exotic experience and to actually learn about Bali culture, communicate with the locals, this is the place for you. In the class not only we get to learn how to cook Balinese local food, they also taught us what to make as an offering to god in Balinese culture, which I found very interesting! Also I really appreciate how they would make personal adjustments with the menu without us even asking. Because me and my mother are Chinese and therefore they suggested to take out the original recipe with stir fried noodles and replace it with more Balinese food, very thoughtful of them! The only downside was there were some mosquitoes on site, which was not a huge problem considering what the class has offered. Overall amazing experience!

We had a wonderful day learning how to prepare and cook authentic and popular Balinese dishes, sauces, and desserts. This experience made for one of the best and most memorable days of our Bali vacation!

Taste of Bali is located in the Jimbaran area, just off one of the main road. Step inside to a traditional Balinese setting, where you sit and create an offering before your cooking class. We were the only 2 booked into the class, so it was more like a private class just built for us. Start with the base of all Balinese cooking where you create 2 traditional spiced pastes, which will be added to all your dishes. So glad we created these. We opted for Chicken over any seafood on the day, and created 9 dishes which was so much food, so make sure you come hungry. The team a Taste of Bali were very friendly and very helpful. So glad we did this course and dishes were easy enough to replicate at home. So you should definitely do it. Price for the course was great.

The hospitality was outstanding. The food we made was incredible and I'm definitely adding a few of the recipes to my repertoire back home. They provide you with a cooking book at the end of the event which was a thoughtful touch. They were also very accommodating and provided vegetarian options. While I am not a vegetarian myself, I was surprised by how tasty those dishes were. All in all, I would highly recommend this class to anyone with an interest in cooking.

Learn the obvious advantage of cooking with a wok, a chinese knive and a balinese pestle and mortar. Everything except thr protein is put on a single plate and then in proper sequence in the wok, amazing practicality of this national cousine - once claned and peeled it takes only 5-10 minutes to cook a exotic dish. Balinese is in the sauce they said - and you learn 3 different but essential one.

A real cultural exchange with locals, uunderstand the way they live not just cooking only, its worth

it was an exceptional experience! the female chef was professional and friendly and her assistant was helpful. i enjoyed the whole class. and of course the food was delicious. i got the recipes and will try them out after i get back home. i recommend this class to all of u.

It was such a great experience to learn about Indonesian culture not only through visiting places but through people and food. We took this cooking class and it was one of the best decisions we have made during our short vacation. We had a visit to the local market, got to talk with the people and they were all so warm and inviting. Then we cooked a lot of Balinese dishes from scratch, everything was provided. It was held at the chef's own kitchen and house so apart from cooking we also experienced how to live in a traditional Balinese house. At the end of the session, we all ate together, had some great laugh and learning.

I was the only one who subscribed to the class in the afternoon, so it was like personal workshop! We cooked 9 dishes, all are tasty and delicious!! The chef were very professional and very friendly. She explained very well the process and details, and there were chef helpers at the kitchen who can help with some routine work. The food was delicious... and it was plenty of it, I had to take most of it with me to eat later. And the recipes were clear and I managed to repeat them already at my home country with my friends. I would definitely recommend this workshop for anyone who likes to eat or to cook!! Amazing experience that I can repeat now at my own kitchen!! Thank you for this class!! :-)

The whole class was very well organized from the starter to dessert. It was held in the class instructor own kitchen so we could experience a little what it was like to be living in a balinese traditional cluster house.

I liked the cooking class very much. It was a very nice and relaxed atmosphere. The market visit was great and we were welcomed in the cooking class with an exotic soft drink. You get to eat the individual courses directly after completion, which I personally also liked very much. I can recommend the cooking course at any time. Thank you very much for the great experience.

Pick up was on time. Market visit was unfortunately only a short stop to take pictures - not really a market visit where you buy the ingredients for the dishes or could try new stuff. Cooking class was very nice. Started with some traditional handcrafts and informations, followed by cooking several dishes. Very friendly and helpful chef, chance to ask many questions and learn many easy dishes. Was a really nice morning :-)

We absolutely loved this cooking class. We made traditional offerings and rice baskets. Which then our rice was cooked in! We cut and prepared every single meal! So much food to eat, worth the money. It exceeded expectations! A must when coming to Bali!

This cooking class was all that we had hoped for and more. Starting off with making our own offerings and learning about the traditions was really amazing. Our hosts had a good grasp of English which was really nice and could answer all the questions that we had. All the ingredients were fresh and we especially appreciated them using bottled water when a recipe called for the addition of water. The food itself was amazing. We didn't end up finishing it but they were prepared with take-away containers. My partner and I got a little lucky in that it was just the two of us that afternoon's class, so we got full attention. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone interested in a cooking class in Bali

I enjoyed the class quite abit and the traditional dishes taught were delicious and easy to replicate. Trainers were friendly and spoke with clarity. Instructions were easy to follow and the experience was just memorable. Will recommend to my friends for sure.

My mother and I attended the cooking class. Two other attendees cancelled last minute, their loss. But I feel it would have been eveb better if more people had attended, a group. It was a great class, the chef and 2 assistants were very friendly and patient with us. The ingredients were fresh and lots of variety. We made curry pastes from scratch. The food was great, even if we did help prep and cook it ourselves. I would highly recommend visitors to Bali attend this cooking class. I'm just hoping I can replicate the dishes we did at home. The young driver who collected us from the hotel was lovely too.

We had a fun cooking experience and the recipes will be applied to my home cooking. Our chef was very accommodating to our special requests as we changed the menu a little bit. So yes I will recommend to holiday makers to bring home with some cooking experience from Bali.

This course was really good. The hosts were friendly and very patient with us! They answered all our questions and even showed us extra things that we asked about. The food was delicious and we really hope to experiment with these dishes again when we get home! Transfer to and from our hotel room was quick and painless! I would defintely recommend this to anyone who would like to have a go at cooking Balinese food 😊

A fantastic experience that both my husband and I enjoyed. Hands on experience with lovely patient and friendly staff.

My husband and I did this cooking class looking to learn to cook Balinese food which is packed full of flavour and spice. We had a wonderful teacher, Tre, who was patient, educational and spoke fantastic English. The menu was extensive from basic sauces/pastes to soups, satay meat, BBQ fish, fried noodles, coconut pancakes and traditional fried banana - after we made each dish (prepped & cooked at individual stations) we then ate each delious dish!!! The ingredients were fresh and I was amazed at the flavours which came through in the dishes my husband and I had made. Learnt so much! First thing we are going to do when we are back in Perth is buy a wok and see if we can recreate these dishes without the Supervision of Tre!! Fingers crossed!!!! Must do this class....

Fantastic and well organised experience with friendly yet professional service. We had a great student to instructor ratio and we're able to take our time focusing on the areas of interest and tailor the experience to our pallet. Really enjoyed cooking and eating the recipes. Great experience that was further enhanced by the people. Make sure you arrive hungry!

We visited a local market first then headed to the restaurant. I can't say enough great things about how much I enjoyed learning about Bali culture and food. We made so many delicious dishes. The cooks were very patient and let me do the work. A recipe booklet of what we cooked was given to me at the end. I can't wait to try these recipes with family and friends!

Collected on time by our very friendly driver who took us to a local market. The market was a produce market. He answered all our questions, helped us buy food items we had never tried before. A 10min drive from the market was the cooking school, a large open plan restaurant. We firstly made offerings, then made 10 exquisite dishes. The staff were amazing. It was such good value for money. We cherished the day

I was privileged to be able to partake in a one-on-one cooking class with Wayan. Her husband provided some family background and they both readily answered any questions I had. I was impressed with the range of foods and the facilities. I will return again and bring along my family next time. Highly recommend this experience.

Easy booking. Great people and organization. Driver didn't make it clear that the market stop on the way to the venue was guided and so when he said 'you wanna stop at market' we didn't realize that was the part mentioned as a part of the class - therefore we missed it This was the only down point. Great experience and I recommend you do it!

Fantastic day! We were the only two that day so we got a private lesson! Food was great & more than you could eat & you got the printed recipes to take notes / take home. Day also included transfers to & from - well worth the money, we recommend it!

Had a great day at the cooking class picked up at hotel had a market tour and then went to cooking class where we had a great time learning how to prepare the food . No question was to much trouble and they explained everything when finished cooking we ate the meal and was then returned to our hotel. we would like to thank the staff for a great day Alison Graham
