I think it is very good that we can go to the local market and learn different ingredients through observation and the teacher told us how different ingredients was used in Thai food and the effect of it. One way to learn more about a place culture is to see their local wet market. This can let you know what people eat, how do they cook and the price of different raw materials.

June und Ploy boten meiner Familie ein authentisches thailändisches Kocherlebnis. Ein wunderschönes und sehr sauberes Lokal. Köstliches Essen! Absolut empfehlenswert.

Es war ein toller Kurs. Alles war bestens vorbereitet. Die Gerichte waren schnell zubereitet, man konnte sie nach Belieben anpassen und die Reste mitnehmen. Bei meinem Gericht gab es zwar eine kleine Verwechslung, aber der Kursleiter hat das sofort korrigiert und mir eine detaillierte Anleitung für die Zubereitung von traditionellem Pad Thai sowie für alternative Zutaten gegeben. Es war ein sehr schönes Erlebnis.

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit beim Kochen köstlicher, authentischer thailändischer Gerichte. Im Vorfeld wählten wir unsere Vorspeisen, Hauptgerichte und Desserts aus, sodass alles sorgfältig vorbereitet war. Nach unserer Ankunft in der Nähe des Veranstaltungsortes unternahmen wir einen Ausflug über den lokalen Markt, um die frischen Zutaten kennenzulernen und mehr über ihre Bedeutung für die einzelnen Gerichte zu erfahren. Anschließend ging es ans Kochen, wobei uns Ploy, unsere Köchin und Kursleiterin, Schritt für Schritt durch jedes Rezept führte. Der Kurs endete perfekt, als wir uns hinsetzten und all die fantastischen Speisen genossen, die wir zubereitet hatten. Ploy und das gesamte Team waren unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir können diesen Kurs jedem, der die thailändische Küche liebt, wärmstens empfehlen.

Der Besuch auf dem Markt war sehr hilfreich. Zu meiner Überraschung schmeckten die Gerichte, die ich zubereitet habe, sehr gut. Ich habe viel über die Zubereitung von Gemüse, Gewürzen und Kräutern gelernt.

Der Kochkurs war hervorragend organisiert – von der Kommunikation über den Transfer bis hin zur Vielfalt der Gerichte! Ich kann ihn wärmstens empfehlen, er bietet ein ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis!

Es war ein tolles Erlebnis, einige beliebte thailändische Gerichte kochen zu lernen. Der Kurs war unterhaltsam und interessant. Die Kochlehrer waren außerdem sehr freundlich. Ich kann diesen Kurs bei einem Besuch in Phuket wärmstens empfehlen!

Wir haben den Nachmittagskurs besucht und er war eine willkommene Abwechslung zum Rest unserer Reise. Er hätte vielleicht etwas anspruchsvoller sein können (das meiste war schon vorbereitet, wir haben nur ein paar Soßen zubereitet und im Wok gekocht), aber im Urlaub will man sich ja nicht so viele Gedanken machen! Das Essen war lecker und am Ende gab es eine riesige Portion – also am besten das Mittagessen auslassen und hungrig kommen!

Ein sehr schönes Erlebnis. Alles war perfekt. Da ich einen empfindlichen Magen hatte, wurde mein Menü entsprechend angepasst. Die Entdeckung des Marktes war ein zusätzliches Plus.

Ein fantastisches Erlebnis mit sehr nettem Personal. Die Mitarbeiter haben alles klar erklärt und für ein richtig unterhaltsames Erlebnis gesorgt. Es gab viele verschiedene Möglichkeiten zur Auswahl. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Die Kursleiter und die Markttour waren super. Unsere Lehrerin war sehr informativ und beruhigend. Wir haben so viel Neues gelernt und ich freue mich schon darauf, es zu Hause auszuprobieren. Ich würde es sofort wieder machen und kann es nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen und wurden fachkundig durch alle Schritte geführt. Unsere Köche erklärten mit Begeisterung, warum sie diese speziellen Zutaten auf diese spezielle Weise verwenden, um authentische thailändische Gerichte zuzubereiten. Als Vegetarierin merke ich, dass sie sich bei der Zubereitung meiner Gerichte viel Mühe gegeben haben, sodass ich keinen Geschmack verpasse. Sie waren geduldig und überaus freundlich. Wir durften das restliche Essen mit nach Hause nehmen. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Das war ein toller Kochkurs. Uns hat der Marktbesuch sehr gut gefallen, und der anschließende, dynamische Kochkurs war auch super. Alles war vorbereitet, und wir konnten uns unsere Menüs selbst zusammenstellen. Die Frühlingsrollen, die wir hier gemacht haben, haben uns sogar besser geschmeckt als anderswo. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Super Organisation! Wir haben bei der Markttour viel über regionales Obst und Gemüse gelernt und konnten einige Zutaten wie Chilipaste direkt mitnehmen. Ploy hat uns toll angeleitet und wir hatten riesigen Spaß. Das Essen war unglaublich lecker und sehr authentisch. Wir können diesen Kochkurs wärmstens empfehlen!

Wir haben einen vegetarischen thailändischen Kochkurs besucht. Das Team war fantastisch und ist auf unsere Ernährungswünsche eingegangen. Wir haben so viel gelernt! Es war ein rundum gelungenes Erlebnis, absolut nichts auszusetzen. Wir können den Kurs uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Ich habe den Halbtageskurs mit Markttour gemacht und es war ein fantastisches Erlebnis. Ich wurde pünktlich abgeholt und die Markttour war großartig. Ich habe viel über die verschiedenen Gemüsesorten, Fleischsorten und Kräuter gelernt, die in der thailändischen Küche verwendet werden. Der Kurs selbst fand in einem charmanten Häuschen an einem kleinen See statt – eine wirklich wunderschöne Lage! Dank der fachkundigen Anleitung konnten wir im Handumdrehen vier Gerichte zubereiten. Alles in allem ein tolles Erlebnis, das ich wärmstens empfehlen kann. Ein großes Dankeschön an Khloy (ich hoffe, ich habe den Namen richtig geschrieben), unsere Kursleiterin.

Ein wunderbares Erlebnis! Wir genossen den Marktbummel vor dem Kochkurs. Es blieb genügend Zeit, um mehr über thailändische Zutaten zu erfahren. In der Schule lernten wir, acht verschiedene Gerichte zuzubereiten. Es gab so viel zu essen, dass wir gar nicht alles aufessen konnten. Man kann zwar Reste in Behältern mitnehmen, aber da wir auf einer Kreuzfahrt waren, gaben wir unsere Reste unserem Fahrer.

Fahrer und Kochlehrer waren beide sehr höflich, sympathisch und witzig! Ich war überrascht, wie einfach es ist, einige meiner liebsten authentischen thailändischen Gerichte zuzubereiten! Besonders die Bananenfritter waren fantastisch! Die waren der Hammer. Ich werde sie auf jeden Fall wieder kochen, wenn ich wieder zu Hause bin. Meine Tochter und ich waren zusammen dort, während der Rest der Gruppe tauchen ging. Wir hatten einen Frühkurs gebucht und waren die einzigen beiden Teilnehmer, sodass wir eine Privatstunde bekamen! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall mit dem Rest der Familie bei unserem nächsten Phuket-Urlaub wieder! Vielen Dank an die Phuket Thai Cooking Academy für die tolle Zeit!

Ein fantastischer Nachmittag mit der äußerst kompetenten und talentierten Favour. Wir erkundeten den Lebensmittelmarkt von Kathu, wo Favour uns alle gängigen Zutaten der thailändischen Küche erklärte und zeigte. Anschließend wurden wir bequem zur Kochschule gebracht, wo alles reibungslos ablief. Alles war bestens organisiert und wir hatten riesigen Spaß beim Kochen unserer eigenen Gerichte. Absolut empfehlenswert!

I really appreciated the market tour as I had attempted to do some shopping on my own prior to taking the class. The guide provided great explanations of ingredients typically used in Thai cooking, which prepared my mindset for the class. Allowing students to choose what they cook was awesome! I follow a plant-based diet, and the staff even noted what I should look for on food labels when shopping. The site of the class is lovely. I really appreciated the cleanliness and the fact that each student had their own gas cook top, pans, and utensils. This was a truly amazing experience. I cook at home every day, but appreciated the cultural culinary experience.

Great way to experience and learn more about Thai food! Tour overall was very well organised, market tour in the morning was very informative. Actual cooking class was very hands on, loved the ability to customise the menu so you get to cook all your favourite meals. Be warned: do not eat before you go, you will be given a lot of food!

If you enjoy food and cooking this is a must! Expert instruction from the lovely Christine but what she also bought to the experience was a nice friendly and relaxed vibe. I loved the market experience which was an education in itself. The school was well equipped, clean and airy with beautiful views. There are I think ten cooking stations, plenty of room to move around and after your hard work you get to eat your delicious creation along with wine (at a small additional cost). Water is free. The leftovers can be boxed up to take away which is just as well because the portions are big. I loved every minute and will do it again.

The teacher and assistants were so engaging and made it fun. Our dishes were so delicious and while the cooking process went so fast we really hope we can recreate these back at home. It was a truly memorable day and would highly recommend anyone thinking of doing it to book this event. I had researched so many events and glad we chose this. The visit to the local market was interesting because the guide took time to introduce and explain to us the local fruits, vegetables, sauces etc.. and gave us time to explore the market on our own to buy what we wanted for ourselves. There were street food as well that we could buy and eat immediately. The cooking school is very cosy and the kitchen is air-conditioned. Instructions for cooking were provided step by step so if you are really slow at learning, you will still do fine. The teachers were very patient and outgoing and we sat together around a table to eat the end product of our many dishes for lunch. It was an amazing experience. I highly recommend this! :)

The class was excellent. The driver picked us up on time. The friendly teachers met us at the market and we started with a short market tour. We learned a lot about different types of traditional Thai food. The school was in a beautiful environment, clean and nice. We learned how to cook one entree, three dishes, and one dessert. The teachers were great. It was an unforgettable experience.

This class catered for the individual choices - not a one stop shop.

I am very glad I came across Phuket Cooking Academy! It was a very good way to spend half a day in Phuket learning Thai cuisines. The market tour prior to the cooking class was a nice touch and we really appreciated the inclusion of hotel pick-up and drop off. The place itself was clean and the view was a wonderful surprise. Das ganze war sehr gut organisiert. Die Gerichte waren top vorbereitet und MiuMui und Say waren sehr kompetent. Ein Lob auch den beiden Ladies die immer alles sofort abgewaschen haben. We thoroughly enjoyed our cooking experience. I am not a cook and worried I would look silly. On the contrary, I completed all my courses confidentially and they tasted great. The building, view and ambience were fabulous. I feel comfortable to come home and make a couple of the dishes. I think this is great value for money.

My husband and I came to Phuket for our honeymoon and took part in a Cookly Vegetarian Thai Cooking Class. We both love cooking so knew we would enjoy the experience. The chefs were so lovely and welcoming, they explained everything very clearly and went at a pace that made us feel comfortable. We loved preparing all of the meals but eating everything was the best part!! All of the ingredients are fresh and Thai food is just so full of flavour!! Such great value for money too!! The ambiance and the location of the class were both terrific. It was great to go to the market first and learn about the ingredients even though we didn't actually purchase all the specific ingredients for the class right at that time. The class was very well organized, ran smoothly and we made lots of food and could even take home leftovers. It was great to get the recipes too. The class teacher King did a very good job. HIghly recommended.

The staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. The class was also nice and they put a ton of work into trying to make it as smooth as they could. But there were a total of around a dozen people, all cooking different things and it was a bit hectic. This is the second cooking class we have taken in Thailand, the first being in Hua Hin, where we were only a group of 4 total and all cooking the same thing. I felt that went a lot better and I learned a lot more from it. Overall still a wonderful class and a lot of fun, I think it's just grown a bit too large but your milage may vary.

When booking tours through internet you never really know what you are going to get, but this tour really surpassed our expectations. Both the market tour and cooking class were extremely interesting to us, and the atmosphere, location, facilities and way of teaching were all very pleasant. We had a small group and had a very nice and personal cooking class by funny and nice Thai chef cook King and an assistant. Although no newcomers in cooking, we learned a lot, and of course the food was delicious. A real recommendation if you are looking to learn more about Thai food and culture.
