From the moment we arrived we felt so welcomed. Alberto the chef and Silvia were great teachers and models. We made 4 courses and they all were so fun and delicious. We enjoyed getting to learn about the owner of the property and restaurant background. The hospitality was too notch and the group of people we cooked with added to the fun and experience. I love that they shared the recipes with us that we cooked so we can try them ourselves back home. I highly recommend this cooking class/experience.
This was an incredible experience that I would highly recommend! Very friendly, warm and passionate instruction. Exceptional food and entertaining, interactive experience. Loved!
The team teaching us was very kind and took time with everyone to go over instructions and techniques. Thank you for the delicious, lovely class!! They even accommodated everyone’s dietary restrictions which I know was difficult.
This class was the highlight of our trip! Besides the delicious food, the staff was amazing, helpful, fun and very patient.
We had an amazing time and would recommend this for families with children.

Everyone was super nice, and Chef Francesco took the time to show each person the steps and gladly shared his tips and tricks.
The cooking class itself was fantastic. The chef was talented, engaging, and made the experience both educational and fun.
We were very fortunate to be able to participate in Nonna Ciana's Dinner Cooking Class. The location is absolutely gorgeous, not too far from Siena, in the rolling Tuscan hills. We were received by Chiara, who is extremely friendly and delightful, and was the translator for the chef. The course included learning how to cook a 4-course meal. I picked up a few good skills that I will use moving forward. The course ended with a sit down meal of the food we had made - it was delicious and satisfying to know that we had cooked most of it under the guidance of the chef. If was also fun to meet the other people in the course, who were very friendly. Good food, excellent wine, great company and an all round fun experience that I highly recommend.
Our family, including our two teenagers, loved every minute of it. We prepared a four-course meal together.
After you collect truffles go into their farm to table restaurant and learn how to make pasta and sauces with a certified chef.
We got to cook with Nonna and it was such a fun class! We learned a lot and also it is in a beautiful setting.
We prepared a full four-course meal, including freshly made pasta. Every dish was created with simple, fresh ingredients.
Our family of three booked this cooking class and learned the secret to making homemade pasta, bruschetta & a delicious ricotta & saffron honey dessert.

Such an enjoyable time and so quaint - cooking right inside the owner's home!
My husband and I had the best time with Nonna Cia - truly a highlight of our honeymoon.
We had an amazing time with the team. Highly recommend this experience to everyone.
Great fun cooking experience. Great hosts well worth doing and of course you get to eat it too
It was a four-course delicious meal that we prepared served with wine. Yes, we prepared, rolled and cut the pasta dough!
My parents and I had the most wonderful experience with Nonna! The atmosphere, food, and kindness of Nonna and her team.

The setting was a beautiful farmhouse in the Tuscan countryside! It was great learning new Italian cooking techniques from someone who has lived in Italy for most of her life. However, based on the website and advertisement, we were expecting an Italian nonna. Aside from that, it was a beautiful and very enjoyable experience!
Charming views, amazing hosts, freshly made very good breakfast, very clean and well maintained apartment, comfortable sleep.
The breakfast served in the room was exquisite and made my stay truly heart-warming.
During our stay we also had the opportunity to participate in truffle hunting and a cooking class: two engaging, fun and perfectly organized activities.
Our family experienced a wonderful AM Truffle hunt followed by a cooking class using those Winter Black Truffles.
Instructor was very thorough in guiding us through the preparation of the meal, patient with our questions and provided “the story behind “ the dishes we were preparing.
This time we booked a truffle hunt in the woods, which was great fun, and very informative for those into foods.
This was a very intimate and fun class, taking place in the kitchen of a working bed and breakfast, restaurant, and farm.
From the minute, we walked in everyone was so friendly. The cook was exuberant and informative, the translator, very kind and informative, and had a sense of humor. The finished meal was everything one could expect from a Tuscany meal. Would highly recommend.
Chef Francesco was awesome … professional, kind and patient! Would have enjoyed a more balanced menu. Your advertising suggested a full course meal with anti pasta, meat selection etc but at our lesson we made two pasta dinners and a dessert. Would’ve enjoyed an appetizer and veggies and a neat dish. Really appreciated Joelle and him providing a transfer to and from the class! We will definitely recommend your class to our family and friends! Thanks again!
Beautiful countryside view. Comfort room with lot of space. Friendly atmosphere and peaceful Great restaurant American breakfast 👍
The location is beautifully set within the rolling hills of the Tuscan countryside. We had a warm welcome and started the class right away with a delicious mix of different recipes for a whole menu. We learned some techniques and tricks and a lot of knowledge about the Tuscan food and the very special location it is cooked in. We totally recommend this class over and over again!
We attended a class in July 2025 and had a great experience! My family of five (three kids, aged 17, 15 and 13) enjoyed learning about how Italian pastas are made. The chef/instructor was engaging, and the surrounding countryside is so beautiful. My kids especially loved the hands-on experience of stretching the pasta and are already talking about when we can do it at home! I especially appreciated the emphasis on simple, well-sourced seasonal ingredients, both because it seems that is what Italians do best, and also because it taught the kids that a recipe doesn't need to have a million ingredients to be nutritious and delicious. This was easily a highlight of our ten day trip in Italy. Would highly recommend!
Nonna's cooking class was the highlight of our trip! Nonna Cianna and her translator, Heather, were absolutely wonderful.
Lovely place! The hosts were wonderful and we had a lot of fun hosting, the room was nice and big. Very clean.
Location incredible, landscape, room appartement confortable, calm, clean, confortable bed The restaurant is very good and nice service.
The breakfast was fantastic and plentiful. The staff were very friendly, and we had the pleasure of meeting the owner during checkout
A Tuscan cooking class was on my bucket list and this one did not disappoint.
Fantastic experience, we had so much fun I highly recommend! Everyone was so nice and professional and the food is delicious
Our cooking class was so fun and informative. We got hands on practice preparing a traditional multi-course Italian meal.
Really special experience with a wonderful chef, followed by a delicious shared dinner.
The cooking class was one of our favourite events during our visit to Tuscany.
My husband & I had such an enjoyable time! We learned some new cooking techniques, of which making pici pasta, was a highlight.
So much fun! Resident Chef Umberto was so funny and patient!
The 7 of us had the best time at their cooking class! We all highly recommend it.
This was a super fun and informative class. We learned to make pasta and created a delicious meal.
This cooking experience was FANTASTIC. The chef was so knowledgeable, engaging, fun and patient.
Immerse yourself in this authentic Italian experience. The Tuscan countryside close to Siena is the beautiful backdrop.
This class was great!!!! Would definitely do it again.
The class was fun, informative and a highlight of our trip to Italy.
We loved our cooking class with Nonna Chiana. She doesn't speak hardly any English to Giulia was there to translate and both Giulia and Nonna Chiana were great! I learned a lot of things that I didn't know that I can take with me into other cooking as well! And the food we had was delightful. We got lucky with a fun group of Canadians and another American couple and had a blast! I want to do it again! <3
We had a wonderful experience, learned a lot and enjoyed a very delicious meal with wine at the end. I also appreciated how accommodating they were with my partner who was recovering from an illness. Overall a wonderful experience, highly recommended.
We just loved it! The staff was welcoming and inviting. Step by step instructions were given. The food was amazing. I'd do it again!!
First, recipes are ones you can cook at home. Two, simple, great directions. Three, such nice people. Four, beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend.
We had an amazing experience at Le Pietre Vive. Due to an inclement weather forecast, we made a last minute change and found this cooking class experience. We are so glad we did. Nona and her amazing team provided a 5 Star experience for our whole family. We learned a ton, almost all of the ingredients came directly from their estate, we prepared everything in their family kitchen, and it was delicious! They also have such a great story on why and how they got into the business, which made it even more special. If you are looking for a great group experience, with great people, food, information, and fun, I highly recommend booking a class with this fantastic group of people.
Our family of 7 (3 generations) had the best day learning how to cook. Being welcomed into their farmhouse and having a meal together was incredible. Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this excursion- one of my favorite memories of the trip.
The italian cookingclass was gifted to me by my boyfriend for my birthday. I always wanted to learn how to make fresh pasta and Alberto and joya made the experience unforgetable. We will defenitly make the recipes again. If u are looking for an authentic experience u can stop looking and book your cookingclass here.
Beautiful setting. Lovely people. Good teaching (including teaching our kids!) and great food. Highly recommend!
A wonderful experience! The class taught by the excellent and friendly Chef Francesco was great! In addition to showing the techniques, it was a very pleasant conversation about Italian culture and flavors. I highly recommend this typical Tuscan experience.
Nona, the expert cook/pasta maker, was so interesting and knowledgeable. We learned a ton from her and the whole place had so much history and beauty! Plus the food we made was amazing!
Our Airbnb host recommended Le Pietre Vive for cooking lessons. Our lesson was with Francesca who was excellent. With the end of the season, it was just my wife and I, and she was excellent working with both our skill levels (my wife well beyond me), was personable and a great teacher. Excellent food and we have since made the dishes upon our return to the US. I would highly recommend this experience and if our meal was anything like what is offered in the restaurant then this would be a must-do. They make their own wine and honey, both of which were excellent. One of the best experiences of our two-week trip through Tuscany. Don't miss it!
So nice with our Italian chef and the English lady who translated, wonderful dishes and so nice to learn to make pasta, mashed potato which are so tasteful, and all the other dishes. and to work with special ingredients like truffles they found that morning and their own saffron honey made it extra special.
A wonderful experience. Chef, Heather, and Francesca made the experience enjoyable. I can’t wait to try the recipes at home.
From the wonderful Host Nicolas and his staff to the spacious apartment we stayed in and also the tasty Breakfast.
We took a cooking class from Nona and it was absolutely fabulous. The atmosphere was impressive and the instructions were excellent. Being able to share this experience with others was truly exceptional. We strongly recommend this class

We spent one night at the farmhouse and did the cooking class with Nona and loved it!
The cooking class with Nonna Ciana was equal parts food, learning and love.
