This was an incredible, authentic experience. We made some of the best ramen we’ve ever had in a hands on cooking class right in Hide’s kitchen. Since his kitchen is small, it was just our family, which made the experience feel personal and relaxed. Exactly what we were hoping for. We learned about the different types of soy sauce and tasted them side by side, then made fresh ramen noodles, homemade broth, and delicious chashu pork from scratch. Everything was absolutely delicious. Hide was also wonderful with our boys, making it a great experience for the whole family. We couldn’t recommend it more highly.
It was truly a wonderful, interesting, and unique experience! We were looked after with professionalism, patience, and kindness, and all the food was delicious. We highly recommend it!
Our cooking class with Hide has been great. He made us feel welcome, we had great chats and learned a lot about cooking Ramen and Gyoza. Both were delicious.
Hideki (Hide) was a great instructor for me and my teenage son. He walked us through everything in his tight, efficient kitchen. He provided a recipe guidebook for us so we could cook the ramen and gyoza at home. It was a great experience to see the sleepy side of Tokyo and how locals live. I highly recommend this experience for anyone looking to get their hands dirty and cook these dishes from scratch.
This was one of the best parts of our Japan trip. Hideki picked us up at the station and it was a 5 minute walk from there. The kitchen is quite small but suitable as they only accept small groups. Hideki was very knowledgable, polite and well prepared. The ramen and gyoza was easy to make and gives you a good starting point if you want to try it at home. Overall a very good experience and we can only recommend it. We even got a very nice gift.
I am a Ramen lover, this class took me deeper into the Ramen world by making it by yourself. Teacher speaks English, the place is cozy for 2~3 people, and last but not least, the Ramen made by ourselves tastes amazing! Recommend for anyone who'd like to know more about the making process of Ramen.
