Malaysia Cooking Class

We booked a Malaysian Cooking Class with Fiza, through Cookly, for my husband David and I, during a city stay in Kuala Lumpur. Communication in advance of the day was good and we chose a dish we both could cook. We were given clear directions to her home (recommend Grab) although we returned via Metro. Upon arrival, at Fizas home, the fresh ingredients were ready and the cooking utensils all laid out. We prepared and cooked under her clear instructions and enjoyed a wonderful, authentic, Malaysian meal of Kuey Teow Goreng and dessert of sesame seed balls. (I can’t recall their name). We made a sweet tea and Fizah made a refreshing juice. There was plenty left over but as we were in a hotel, I could only take the remaining dessert. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and Fizah was a lovely host and cook. Highly recommend. Thank you Shelagh & David Australia

Me and my friends absolutely loved this experience. It was a great start to our trip to Malaysia, full of fun and flavour.

Fiza was incredibly sweet, personable, and friendly throughout the entire class. She made us feel so welcome and comfortable.

My mom and I loved learning how to make vegetarian laksa, and Fizah told us a lot about Malaysia's food and cooking culture.

They took my request and made curry laxa! It's easy to understand and you'll get the recipe after you're done.

We had a lot of fun in the cooking class with Fizah. She taught us how to cook Nasi Lemak and Mango Sticky rice.

This was a great activity to do together as a family; everyone was able to participate, even our elementary aged kids.

The class was well paced, extremely hands on and loaded with tips, info & stories.

I felt very welcomed into the home and the whole experience was warm and friendly. The food we made was absolutely delicious.

Fizah was extremely knowledgeable and explained every step of the process. All the ingredients were fresh and the end result amazing.

It was great fun and I learned a lot. Fizah is a great teacher and so knowledgeable. All meals cooked from scratch.

This was the first thing I did in Kuala Lumpur—getting to make and try Malaysian food for the first time was so much fun.

We had a lovely afternoon with Fiza where we learned to cook curry laksa as our main and kuih gula Melaka for pudding.

It was very hands on and we learned about Malaysian food, traditions and culture.

We had the best time! Fizah is so sweet and we had a great experience. We had the chance to meet Roman as well.

The experience was incredible and the food was even better. I really enjoyed cooking with friends and the host was friendly and clear.

Amazing, homely feeling class with lovely people. Food and recipes were amazing, and Fizah was a great teacher. Would 100% recommend to anyone coming to KL

Fizah was very cool ! We learned a lot things and eat very well. It was delicious we loved it

Fizah was very knowledge and kind to us on our cooking class. She told us all about the history and the traditions of Malay people. She also shared stories of her family and Roman her husband is with us too.

This class was such a fun experience! Fizah and Roman were sooo welcoming. They also took pictures of us while we cooked so we got to document the experience. While cooking, Fizah and roman shared interesting facts about Kuala Lumpur and some fun things to do around the city.
