We had a fantastic experience during the cooking class as a family - definitely a highlight of our trip to India. They were warm and welcoming and provided insights into the medicinal properties and meaning of different foods. The meal was absolutely delicious and it was lovely to sit down and enjoy the meal together.

This was so much more than a food tasting or a cooking class it was a heartfelt cultural journey. This wonderful couple welcomed us into their beautiful home and made us feel like part of their family for four hours. They introduced us to the essence of Indian culture, its cuisine, spirituality, language, and traditions, sharing stories and wisdom with warmth and sincerity. It genuinely felt like being cared for by our own parents. Their hospitality is extraordinary, and this experience is something no amount of money can buy. An absolute must for anyone wanting to experience the real heart and soul of Delhi.

This was more than just a cooking class, it was an honour to be invited into the hosts home to learn more then, there lives and about India. They made us feel very welcome and safe and I would recommend to anyone. I do hope to return one day ☺️

Nidhi and Roopak hosted us along with three others at their home with such warmth and hospitality. We learnt so much about Indian culture, religion and food. They had fantastic communication from booking through out our experience and afterwards sending us resources on everything we’d learnt and experienced. Would HIGHLY recommend this to everyone. A truly perfect experience with Roopak and Nidhi in their beautiful home in Delhi. Communication via WhatsApp was fantastic as soon as I booked on Get Your Guide as they gave very clear instructions on how to arrive at their home and what the activities would be. As soon as I stepped into their home I was given a wonderful Hindu welcome and sat down to have a lovely introductory chat. Roopak and Nidhi are so wonderful to get along with! Oh I haven’t talked about the cooking part yet! We made roti, dal and an okra dish all from scratch as well as a sweet dessert and masala chai. It was such a comfortable and stress-free cooking experience, just like cooking in your own home! This is truly much more than a commercial cooking class, this is quality time getting to know a local Indian couple who have so much to share and who are interested in getting to know you too. One of the best experiences I’ve ever booked, thank you so much Roopak and Nidhi for an unforgettable afternoon!

We had a couple hours left in Delhi before our flight and decided to book this cooking class with Roopak and Nidhi and we could not have been more impressed and thankful that we did. They were the most amazing hosts and the attention to detail was incredible. We received an incredible welcome, followed by lots of conversations and learning about Indian culture, amazing food, spices, Hinduism, and ended with chai tea. This was one of our favorite experiences in India and cannot recommend it enough! Will be recommending this incredible experience in their lovely home to everyone!

Rupac began by blessing me in the Hindu tradition, instantly making me feel welcomed and honored. Nidhi guided the cooking with such care, answering all my questions with grace and patience. We made incredible dishes, but the masala chai—wow—was the best I’ve ever had. They made personalized name cards for me in Hindi (I’ll be framing mine!), and even gifted me something for my great-grandmother. Every detail was thoughtful and deeply human. We danced, laughed, and ended with Om chanting, grounding the joy in peace. Rupac and Nidhi didn’t just host me—they embraced me. This is one of the most sacred and generous experiences I’ve ever had, and I left feeling nourished in every sense of the word. If you want more than just a class—if you want connection—this is for you.

It was a full cultural learning experience exclusively for you or your small group. Nidhi and Roopak opened their home to us, taught us about India as well as their Hindu traditions as well as anything else we wanted to know. They were both warm and inviting and very comfortable to chat with. The cooking was hands on, well explained and all fresh. Delicious! In addition they were the most thorough provider of information on what to expect and detailed directions. Would highly recommend.

It was an excellent experience. I was very well received by the hosts, who explained a little about India, its culture, economy, religion and the different foods. Our experience was very interesting because I could taste the different spices and seasonings of India. We had a delicious lunch with vegetables, beans and bread and then sat down at the table for the meal. It was an afternoon of great learning and new experiences and I even left with a gift. Throughout my stay, the hosts also helped me and gave me tips on tours. Thank you, it was incredible.

Roopak and Nidhi were a very hospitable and friendly couple. I was warmly welcomed into their home. Prior to arriving, I was in contact with Roopak who gave me excellent written directions on how to get to their apartment. I was also asked about food preferences and optional extras. I felt fully informed. Nidhi was the person in the kitchen assisting us as we were "hands on" with the preparation of our lunch which consisted of dahl, veggie curry, roti, semolina pudding and chai. It was all delicious. Roopak educated us in between times with stories, Hindi lessons, writing our names in Hindi and even helping me plan my day for the next day. He had maps and information at his fingertips to show us but they were both interested in us as people which was fabulous. Roopak even drove me back to my hotel as it was raining. It wasn't a long way but it was certainly appreciated. Thoughly recommended.

This is a must do experience when you get to Delhi. Nidhi and Roopak are thoughtful, and made us feel welcome in their home. The experience is so much more than cooking, we learned a lot about India and the surrounding regions and had some great conversations. They catered to us as vegans and our meals were delicious. We can't wait to get home and try them out. We highly recommend this experience to everyone, whether you're a keen cook or just want to experience a unique taste of India.

We had a great time with this family and we recommend the experience! Everything was perfect, whether it was the care, the cooking, the explanations, the little activities that make the cooking time go by faster, etc. Everything is extremely well thought out and very qualitative. We learned a lot about cooking but also Indian and Hindu culture. It is really an experience not to be missed!

Nidhi and Roopak were absolutely the best host one could possibly ask for! My wife and I had a super jam-packed visit throughout Delhi including several sightseeing tours, upscale restaurant patronage but this cooking experience was hands down our favorite item on the itinerary. It was not only an intimate cooking experience where we learned how to cook local cuisine with fresh ingredients (the milk man literally knocked on the door to deliver the days milk for our session) but also an immersive cultural experience. We understood better of the Hindu religion due to Roopak’s and Nidhi’s exceptional english, offered desserts to the gods, and had activities in between cooking times. We learned a few phrases in Hindi! Overall they went above and beyond and for a short period we felt like true locals. Thank you best of luck!

Roopak & Ndihi provide an experience which is not comparable to anything else we have been on across various countries and excursions. Incredibly warm and welcoming, beautiful clean home who couldn’t do more to provide you with a truly unique India experience. They provide you a wealth of knowledge beyond the average tourist would see making you feel incredibly valued. The cooking experience was very hands on delivered in a very fun and knowledgeable way. The food was excellent with both Roopak & Ndihi being the perfect hosts - best value for money experience we have ever had!

What a perfect way to spend my last day in Delhi. I wish I would have met them on the first day. It would’ve made things so much clearer. They explained so much that I wish I would have known coming in, but anyhow, they are amazing hosts and I got to make a very delicious meal. They had a really nice menu of add-ons and I chose to do three of them. I could have done all of them but opted for adding on the henna, doing some art, and yoga. What a talented couple. I would’ve never known that I could’ve done everything from scratch like that and they made it all feel easy. The directions , descriptions and instructions were very clear and informative, but nothing could have informed me about the great time I was about to have! Some of the times were also very mellow which I appreciated so much because this town can be very chaotic.

10/10, the class was great, well priced and a real insight into an Indian household. they were great at communicating and picked me up from the metro station and took me back to theirs for the class, and dropped me back to the station once done. The class was just me and one other solo traveller so was a nice small size. Roopak and Nidhi were lovely and made it a really easy and open atmosphere to ask any questions about Indian culture that you wanted which i really appreciated and learned so much from. The cooking was good fun and they encouraged you to ask as many questions as you wanted and then we all sat down and ate the delicious food together- was a lovely family like experience !

Roopak and Nidhi were fantastic hosts. They went above and beyond to keep us informed and constantly provided outstanding tips. Their house is lovely. Despite our late arrival, Roopak kindly picked us up from the Metro station. We had numerous questions about India, its history, religion, and culture, all of which they answered with patience. The food was exceptional. We learned simple recipes and techniques that can be easily replicated back home. I highly recommend participating in this at the beginning of your tour. It serves as an excellent introduction to Indian culture, enriching the overall experience. The only downside: they offered gifts in exchange for a review before we left. We declined due to limited space. This gesture did not tarnish the wonderful experience we had with them, but it’s worth noting, as it could make guests feel pressured to leave a more favorable review to avoid any awkwardness. Despite the minor concern, it was still a 5-star experience that I would recommend to anyone.

The Indian culture is to treat your guests like a God and indeed that’s how I felt. Nidhi’s warmth and hospitality match her cooking skills - she’s gracious and generous and has a sharp sense of humor. We prepared delicious, healthy, fresh food together- all the while Nidhi patiently explained what we were doing and why. Nice experience to meet a local family and deeply explore the traditions, the food, etc and also to have a humble daily common talk with them. An open conversation where we brought our questions, doubts and also they explain us a lot of interesting things. We helped a bit also to prepare the delhi-cious dinner. They are open to take as many photos as you want. Consider taking a cab to arrive, 1h + approx from old delhi. Definitely a really valuable experience and Roopak's family also pay attention to the details,from the warm welcome to a very comfortable session of conversation with amenities and everything we could need!
