Smart Cook, Thai Cookery School

The entire experience was great, chef picked us up, offered each of us a variety of local dishes we could try to cook. We were amazed how quickly you can cook such a tasteful dish with just a few ingredients. We were super excited. In the end we got the recipe book (pdf). Totally recommend!

We had a great time learning how to cook Thai Food at Half Day Thai Cooking. Our instructor was very knowledgeable- teaching us about sweet, salty, sour, and spicy and with all of my family choosing different course options, we were able to learn how to cook practically everything on the menu. My 12 and 15 year old loved it and even my husband, who does not cook at all, had a great time. The food was amazing and we were stuffed by the end! We hope to be able to cook these dishes in our own home soon!

It was totally fun! The teacher spoke good English. She was super friendly and always funny, it was really fun. The food was also very delicious and you learned a lot about the preparation. After the course, you received an online cookbook containing all the recipes. Great action has been highly recommended!

This was the absolute best hands on cooking experience I have even taken - and I have taken many cooking classes. I also love that we received an online cookbook of not just the recipes we chose to make, but also all the ones listed. Our chef was entertaining and helpful. All around, a fantastic experience!

Fun and interesting cooking class with a wide menu selection, adaptable to your own preferences. The moderation was friendly, funny and gave clear instructions. The group size of 8 people was optimal. The cooking was well organized and timed. Pickup worked well. We had a great time and would recommend the course.

We got a lot of nice explanations with the cooking course. You got to choose which dishes you wanted to cook and how spicy you would like it to be. The dishes were also delicious!

New and the rest of the people at Smart Cooking Class were very welcoming and helpful. The class was fun, and we all learned a bunch. The recipes were given afterwards in writing. Tasty food and fresh ingredients, easy to prepare. Thank you!

This was a highlight of our trip. Our instructor was the loveliest funny man and so kind. The food was also amazing, and it was so much fun to be able to learn so much.

We were picked up from our hotel and brought to the cookery school. The instructor broke down every step really well and allowed us to each pick our own meal choices so we each learnt 5 dishes. They were incredibly kind and accommodating, then at the end we were given a full cook book of every recipe we could’ve picked for the day! Highly recommend and the people I cook for at home will be grateful!

Excellent experience, fun activity, took around 4 hours including pickup and drop off. Ingredients were prepared, nothing too difficult, just follow instructions, which were quite clear. Afterwards of course eat the food prepared. Highly recommended!

Tony was amazing — patient, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable about Thai cuisine. He made the class engaging, easy to follow, and genuinely fun from start to finish. We learned so much and left with dishes we were proud of. Hands down the best part of our Ao Nang visit. Highly recommend!

Amazing place, the resulted food is so delicious, some even better than in some restaurants! But best of all was Thiwa, who is an amazing chef that went us through everything while happily answering questions, giving advice, and having an amazing and positive attitude!

We took an evening cooking class and I can only recommend it. You get the chance to prepare a soup and a main course. After a break to taste your own creation, it’s time to make spring rolls or papaya salad and a curry of your choice. In the end, everyone prepares mango sticky rice. We also received a link to all the individual recipes at the end. A wonderfully spent afternoon!

Sexxy Bunny was our instructor and she was fantastic! We made our own curry paste, spring rolls, soups, pad Thai and more! Highly recommend!

Our teacher “Sexy Bunny” was so much fun. She is very patient and thorough. Everything was delicious and I’m so great full for the recipe book to reattempt the beautiful dishes included in this class .

We were four family members, close to the end of our trip to Thailand, and this was truly one of the best experiences we had. The instructor picked us up from our hotel and brought us back afterwards. The cooking lesson was very enjoyable, and the food we prepared was absolutely delicious. At the end of the lesson, he even took us to a nearby grocery store and kindly helped us buy some ingredients that we don’t have at home.

The cooking class we took with Ann was wonderful. We cooked five dishes in total, and for three courses we got to choose between three options what we wanted to cook. I ended up making spring rolls, hot and sour shrimp soup, pad thai, green curry and mango sticky rice. Ann explained about the vegetables and cooking methods we were using and took her time to help everyone.

Very nice hosts. We had to change the workshop date several times and they accepted it with a smile and understanding. They picked us up from the hotel and brought us back. The atmosphere was pleasant. Explanations were clear. We prepared basic but very tasty dishes. Highly recommend.

Such kind chef, delicious food, and a great idea to choose from a lot of great dishes. Good at accommodating people with dietary restrictions!

A super fun cooking workshop where you learn a lot about Thai dishes and the basic spices, sauces, and other ingredients that are incredibly versatile. The food was delicious and I'm eager to try it at home!

We booked the class not realising how much food we could be eating and enjoying. The experience was great and we learned a lot from it hopefully we can make the same meals at home.

Snow White was very welcoming and kind - she has amazing energy! She was on time to pick us up from our hotel, we felt comfortable the entire time and she kept us laughing. We loved that we could choose which dishes we wanted to make and learn from each other. The group was small, which was nice. We will absolutely do this again when we come back to Thailand!

Hello, it was a good expirience, the little late pick up was no problem. The cook, Mac, was a very good teacher and we learned to cook paste, soup and much more information about around backgrounds about spices and how to treat, everyone was more than happy to book this special day and course🇹🇭🙏😊😊😊

Thai cooking class with amazing atmosphere - very positive teacher and a lot of stories and jokes to remember better what should be done during the cooking

The teacher was really helpful and patient. The products were delicious and the whole diner turned out to be some of the best food we had during the holiday. The detailed cookbook is a great bonus and we can’t wait to try everything back at home! An all round very enjoyable experience that i highly recommend!

Obwohl der Kurs normalerweise auf 12 Personen beschränkt ist waren wir nur zu viert, was sehr angenehm war. Unser Kochlehrer war sehr nett und das Essen war super. Es hat wirklich Spaß gemacht und war ein rundum gelungener Abend. Perfekt für einen Regentag in Thailand:)

Had an amazing time during the cooking class and is one of the best experience I ever had. The instructor or rather teacher was really friendly and patient. No problem in conversing in English! Even provided us with a cook book to bring home at the end of the class. Would definitely recommend others to try it out! Tip: Please go with an empty stomach.
