We, an elderly couple and a granddaughter, signed up for a sushi-making workshop. We received an offer to move the workshop to a temple near Kyoto. Akiko, Mina, and Junjun welcomed us. We started with a short introductory conversation, followed by sushi preparation. The conversation was warm. The sushi preparation continued until we were full :-). After that, they gave us a tour of the temple and the amazing garden, and when we returned, we played a fascinating and funny Japanese card game. At the end, we were treated to Japanese tea and a wonderful homemade cake. We all, especially our granddaughter, enjoyed it very much.
The instructor was friendly and made the class enjoyable. I learned valuable techniques for making perfect sushi rolls and had a lot of fun experimenting with different fillings. Can't wait to impress my friends and family with my new sushi making skills!
The instructor was fantastic, providing clear instructions and helpful tips throughout the class. Making sushi rolls from scratch was a lot easier than I expected, and the results were delicious! I left feeling inspired to continue exploring Japanese cuisine. Highly recommended!"
The instructor was passionate about sushi making and shared interesting insights into Japanese cuisine. The hands-on experience was invaluable, and I left feeling confident in my ability to recreate delicious sushi rolls at home.
Hello everyone. I am AKIKO. I am a mother with three children. I make meals for my family every day and sometimes hold cooking classes. My husband is farming and so the vegetables are fresh.
I am happy to make your wonderful trip. Would you like to make Japanese home food together that you can not eat at a hotel or restaurant? I am looking forward to meeting you!
