Uma Experience

An incredible experience in an exceptional setting. In the middle of a rice paddy, next to a temple, with an open kitchen. They are lovely and take the time to share their culinary specialties with you.

A wonderful experience surrounded by rice fields. We learned how to make traditional offerings, visited a Balinese home, and finally prepared and tasted various Indonesian dishes. It was very interesting and fun, recommended to everyone 😊

The best cooking class in Ubud...friendly people...

We chose the cooking class activity at the last minute and we don't regret it at all! Departing from Ubud, we drove along a beautiful road that took us through the rice paddies. The welcome was warm and friendly. We started the activity with a visit to our host's garden and house, which already made the experience unique. The cooking class itself was excellent. We were immersed in Balinese culture in an exceptional setting! We highly recommend it! Thank you again!

An unforgettable stay, enjoying the cool night, surrounded by fireflies, the clear croaking of frogs, and a room that felt like a five-star hotel. I felt like I hadn't spent more than a day there; the staff and family were incredibly friendly. I'll definitely be back next time.

The family atmosphere, the hospitality, and the patience of the friendly people here are simply fantastic. First, we were able to make our own offering baskets and tour the house. We split up, so two of us each took part in the cooking class and the silversmithing class. At the end, we were able to enjoy the fresh food together and were given a short tour of the garden with its magnificent plants and fruits. We were catered to in every way, and even the transport to and from our accommodation was included in the price. We can truly recommend Uma Experience to anyone who wants to see authentic Bali with their own eyes. Our children loved it too! Thanks again for the wonderful day, which we will be talking about for a long time!

We were able to communicate very well in English and had a lot of laughs. The food was delicious, and the subsequent tour of the village was very interesting. The recipes could be a bit more detailed, but that's no reason to deduct a star. All in all: highly recommended!

In a beautiful setting. Very sweet people. Everything looked neat and clean. Highly recommended if you're in Ubud. After the class, you get a tour of the Balinese village where these people live. A really lovely afternoon!

Very friendly and informative, not only with the cooking class but also with their garden, home and temple offerings. Being taught how to make the offerings baskets and the meaning behind the floral tributes was truly an unexpected extra to this great experience. Plus the food was amazingly tasty! Many thanks.

We started the workshop at there home. We learned how to make an offering and got a tour true there garden. After that we started our cookingclass. We had allot of fun and the best teachers with us. We want to come back for more !!

Truly a great way to spend your morning and end up eating your own cooked lunch! And if you can't eat it all, they have a to-go option as well.

From the serene garden walk, where we were introduced to a variety of local plants, fruits, and vegetables, to the hands-on cooking class itself, everything was perfect. The atmosphere was calming and filled with good vibes, and the staff went out of their way to ensure we had a memorable time. The class was incredibly informative, and we were delighted to work with only the highest quality ingredients. We shared many laughs and enjoyed engaging conversations about food and life. As a bonus, we had the chance to visit a traditional Balinese home, learning about local customs and practices. If you're in Bali, we highly recommend this experience—it’s truly one to remember!
