Cocolocal Farm – Vietnamese Cooking Class in Hoi An

Our cooking teacher was amazing and made the experience so fun. Food was delicious and kitchen is in a beautiful spot overlooking the river

Really educational, the teachers/cooks were very attentive and super helpful. The food was delicious and it was completely worth the money, would do it again if I come back to Hoi An.

We did the cooking only experience with Su and she made us feel so welcome. It is a beautiful garden kitchen with clean facilities and lots of care taken to keep the place looking so inviting It was a great class with simple clear instructions with a playful vibe. The recipes are easy enough to follow for when we return home. Plus cats and dogs to pat.

Kami telah mengambil kelas awal dan bernasib baik kerana mendapat kelas hanya dengan ayah dan saya. Vy sangat baik dan bertenaga dan kami sangat menikmati pengajaran & kehadirannya. Makanannya sangat sedap - chúng tôi ăn phở, bún chả, salad betik, popia goreng và cà phê trứng! Xin cảm ơn :)

Dengan penuh tenaga, cef kami menyediakan hidangan pembuka selera dengan lawatan singkat ke pasar dengan penerangan tentang bahan-bahan tempatan yang diikuti dengan menaiki bot bakul. Di tempat yang bagus, kami mengadakan kelas dan memasak empat hidangan.

Saya membawa 2 orang anak saya, berumur 15 dan 6 tahun. Mereka berdua menyukainya. Untuk menjadikannya lebih menarik pelancong, harganya termasuk menaiki bot pisang selain lawatan pasar dan kelas memasak itu sendiri. Ini menyeronokkan tetapi mungkin tidak perlu. Saya suka promosi pasar dan peluang untuk merasai beberapa buah yang saya tidak pernah dengar! Untuk kelas itu sendiri, makanannya sedap, resipinya mudah dan cefnya sangat bersemangat dan menyeronokkan. Saya pasti akan mengesyorkan tempat ini.

Such a good afternoon activity. The market tour was interesting and not too long, the boats were hilarious & all the drivers were so much fun. We love the cooking class, made so much food & great to take home some new recipes!

Lovely outdoor setting (shaded) where we cooked and ate 4 dishes. All very tasty. Very good class led by Su who was entertaining and fun. The environment was clean and the food lovely and fresh. We finished off with platters of fruit. Highly recommend Cocolocal farm.

We made fried Pancakes, Springrolls, A fresh Papaya Salad (ingredients from this mornings market walk), Pho Bo soup and delicious fresh fruit salad to end. There are meat, vegetarian, vegan options for everyone. A fun day out learning with lots of laughs and SOooo satisfying... my hubby had to help me finish.

We had a great experience at the cooking class from Cocolocal farm. Suong is a really great cook and explained everything very well. The location was really nice, they prepared all the ingrediënts, so we could enjoy it!! It was amazing and I highly recommend it!

Amazing team, excellent organization, and very clear explanations during the cooking process. It was a wonderful experience cooking under a roof made of palm leaves — cooking in nature, in the peaceful countryside. The food was absolutely divine. A big thank you as well to everyone who taught us how to cook. Truly a fantastic experience! Recomend a lot!!

We took the Cocolocal cooking class during our time in Hoi An. We were picked up and taken to the market to learn about the various cultural foods. We then were taken to a basket boat and cruised down the river while being entertained by our boat rowers and other locals. We were then taken to the cooking school where we learned how to make many yummy local specialties. Our instructor, Sue was funny, energetic and a great teacher. We had a wonderful time and would recommend the experience to other travelers.

We liked the recipes she shared with us. She was very spirited. The food was fresh and delicious.We didn’t like the boat ride so much and would have preferred more time cooking.

What a beautiful place, well set up and organised. Clean and hygienic plenty of handwashing. Here you actually get to prepare the food (unlike other classes I have taken). The presenters were friendly helpful and fun, the food we cooked was typically Vietnamese. My wife attended to watch (not cook) and the staff cooked extra so she could eat with us. Return transport to the hotel included, good communication. What’s not to like! Highly recommended.👏👏👏👏

We had such a wonderful afternoon! First, you get picked up and taken to the market to shop for ingredients. Along the way, they share fun and interesting facts about the products. After that, you’re brought to the coconut boats for a short and relaxing ride. Then you’re picked up again and taken to the kitchen, where everything is beautifully prepared and ready for you. You’re welcomed with a big smile and constantly offered drinks. The instructions are clear, and the staff are incredibly helpful. On top of that, the food you prepare is absolutely delicious. We would recommend this experience to everyone!
