We had an amazing tour filled with flavors from the Venice region! From savory dishes to a wonderful dessert. From the high mountains of the Dolomites (with amazing cheese!) to fresh fish bought at the Rialto Market. Massimo taught us how to make fresh pasta, as well as focaccia—an incredible type of pizza/bread. His ancient house is also really charming. Amazing cooking class with Max the sailor. We entered the real Venice. The market, his house, the way of cooking...truly authentic. Massimo and his amazing meal was beyond expectations! He is not only a sailor but also an amazing chef. From the moment we booked the experiential cooking class, we were looking forward to it more than anything in Venezia! Welcoming and inviting ambience and location the other guests made it fun, we laughed all afternoon! Massimo explained every delicious course and we ate very well. Some new foods and some we have had, but, not Venetian style recipes! Highly recommend this as it's not a typical cooking class but definitely unique and most memorable part of our trip for sure! We enjoyed the marketplace together, the cooking and the eating. All of us had a great time and would highly recommend the experience to anyone considering it! Easily well worth the money!!! Life-changing experience! Learning how to make homemade pasta from scratch was one of the highlights. The fresh pasta I made was unlike anything you can buy in stores – the taste, texture, and overall quality were on a whole new level. Max s instructions were incredibly clear and informative, making the process both enjoyable and approachable. After this, I’m never going back to store-bought pasta. If you’ve ever thought about trying it yourself, I highly recommend taking this class. It’s an experience that will transform you.
We celebrated our trip in Venice with Massimo in his beautiful venue. We started out by walking to the local farmers market to pick out some fresh ingredients, then went back and started cooking. We quickly felt like family while learning to cook multiple local recipes. All while sipping wine and listening to music. He was so patient with us while we learned how the locals hand make these dishes. GREAT variations of dishes and amazing ingredients. He do a perfect cooking class for us and follow our wishes.
