We arrived at a beautiful location next to the woods. Two very nice ladies taught us how to make our own coconut milk, fern soup, banana blossom chips and much more. The food was delicious, and we were able to do everything we wanted to do by ourselves. There was a slight confusion with who could eat what but that wasn't a problem at all, and we improvised a little bit. The wooden cutlery was a nice bonus. After lunch the women offered us a good price for the bamboo rafting at their brother's (I think) shop. We accepted the offer and had a lot of fun, tried driving the bamboo raft by ourselves and even got a small bamboo cup as a souvenir. It was an amazing day!
Everything was great, the place, the natural setting, the two cooks. It was great to talk to two locals. I requested to learn how to make the tom ka gai soup and it was made easy and delicious.
