Amazing moment shared with Cici. She made us feel comfortable right away and generously shared her passion for Chinese cuisine, especially Chinese dumplings. We learned all the basics needed to recreate xiaolongbao by ourselves. We had the opportunity to make both the classic version of these dumplings and a vegetarian one, which was also absolutely delicious. To accompany the xiaolongbao, Cici prepared some traditional side dishes that were excellent and truly enhanced the overall Chinese cooking class experience.

It was a pleasant morning, the time flew by. We made dumplings, and Cici was very attentive to my dietary needs. I recommend it to everyone, especially those who want to try authentic cuisine.

CiCi is a great hostess and cooking instructor. Her english is very good. Her kitchen is very clean and modern. We learned to cook dim sum from scratch. Both vegetarian and non vegetarian versions. Afterwards we indulged in the delicious food. Our class was small. 4 people total. My wife and I live in Atlanta GA. The other couple was from France. Great experience. I endorse and highly recommend CiCi's cooking class.

Cici was a fantastic host, the best I have had so far! She shared the techniques and recipes on how to make pork and vegetarians soup dumplings. Her English is fluent and she teaches really well. Besides that, she is such a good conversationalist. Would highly recommend her!

​Our family of four, my husband, our two sons, and I recently had the most incredible experience at Ci Ci’s cooking class in Shanghai. We’ve always been big fans of Dim Sum, so getting the chance to learn how to make Xiao Long Bao from scratch was a dream come true for all of us. ​The studio itself was remarkably spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, which made us feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we stepped in. The highlight for my middle and elementary school sons was definitely hand-crafting the delicate dumpling skins. They were so focused and proud of their creations, and it was wonderful to see them so engaged in a hands-on activity. ​What truly set this class apart, however, were the stories Ci Ci shared. It wasn't just a cooking lesson; it was a deep dive into Chinese culture and history. In Korea, the Romance of the Three Kingdoms is legendary, so we were pleasantly surprised and delighted when she started sharing tales about Zhuge Liang. It felt like a beautiful bridge between our two cultures. ​It was a perfect blend of education, family bonding, and delicious food. If you are in Shanghai, I cannot recommend this class enough. It made our trip so much more meaningful!

Our teacher Cici was highly proficient in English, and skilled in helping us create delicious xiao long bao. She not only walked us through the entire process, but also taught us the significance and history behind different aspects of the dumplings. I highly recommend this experience for families, as it's a fun and entertaining activity to do for all ages, and a great way to learn about Chinese culture.

We took a Xiao Long Bao cooking class in Shanghai with my 7-year-old son, and it was a truly heartwarming experience. From making the dough and filling by hand to steaming and sharing the dumplings together, every step felt thoughtful and engaging. The instructor’s warm guidance, cultural stories, and relaxed conversation made the class feel personal and meaningful. A memorable experience for both my child and myself, and one we will remember for a long time.

Teacher Ci Ci cooks and teaches from the heart so not only is it a cooking lesson, it is also a cultural lesson and her health consciousness is an inspiration for me. The end result was delicious xlb that will certainly satisfy our cravings for din tai fung xlb. Her ingredients are super fresh too. My whole family felt very relaxed and enjoyed the experience to the maximum. We hope to return for more master classes in future. We will surely think of Teacher Ci Ci every time we prepare xiao long bao with her very authentic recipe.

We had a lot of fun during the class. Cici was so nice and great at teaching us the different dumpling techniques and telling us about the Chinese culture and where she came from. All in all a really great experience, that we would definitely recommend - and the dumplings just tasted amazing:)

Cici is a fun, passionate teacher with lots and lots of patience for a novice dumpling-maker like myself. She had lots of fascinating stories to tell about traditions surrounding dumplings and other Chinese dishes, and she was very interested in hearing about my experiences, both with cooking and as an American expat in China. She also taught me how to make some delicious, easy side dishes I could make that go well wish dumplings. Taking the class with Cici was such a joy! I highly recommend her services as a teacher.

Great class and the food tasted amazing. Cici had prepared it all for us and the location was so nice on top. Was joined by a couple of other people working and living in Shanghai which made it even better. Highly recommend!

Do you believe in fate? Yes I do believe. Cici is one of my favorite foodies blogger cooking teacher, but I've never ever thought that I can meet her in person. This is definitely one of my favorite days in Shanghai. I had so much fun to learn how to make my favorite Xiao long bao and pan fried pork bun! Cici’s an amazing woman, friendly and knowledgeable. Cici speaks great English and she knows what she's cooking. I especially loved the mushroom dumplings. My husband and I want to take another class with her.

Cici was GREAT!! It was a small class so she was able to help everyone. We got some history and even tried some different food and drinks as we ate our dumplings. Would definitely recommend!!

We had such a fun time with Cici. Her English is fantastic, the class is great fun, and most importantly, I actually feel like I can make what we learned (not something I've experienced at other cooking classes around the world!). Highly, highly recommend this class! It is so much fun and such great food! Take a bottle of champagne and enjoy the afternoon!

Good location - heart of the city - for almost all visitors. Hands on coaching by charming Cici. Less hard trying than your anticipation. Of course Yum yum!
