Making pasta from scratch was so much fun.
A beautiful setting, charming antique home, fun cooking delicious food, and spirited opera performance. Recommended.
Loved this experience! We would highly recommend visiting this place for dinner. The food was excellent too. The people who own and run this are so kind and so fun. They are very welcoming. We all enjoyed it so much
While we weren't sure what to expect, we had a lovely evening. We were two of ten participating, and everyone did a little of the dinner preparation. Learning to make Cavatelli was the highlight for me; it's easy to do at home! We had a driver to and from the venue, so it was not an issue to find the place. My son uses a wheelchair, and the hostess was quite accommodating.
This was a highlight of our trip to Tuscany. We enjoyed preparing an authentic Italian meal with fellow travelers from around the world. We learned about herbs and pasta preparation from a delightful chef and then enjoyed the meal while listening to Italian opera.
We are a young Florentine couple and we had the pleasure of discovering Opera in The Kitchen, an experience that really surprised us. At first glance it might seem designed only for tourists, but it is much more. Lucrezia was fantastic from the first moment: she welcomed us with a sincere smile, making us feel immediately at home, regardless of where we come from. He is a sunny, helpful and incredibly kind person. The experience far exceeded our expectations: the location is lovely, the warm welcome and the masterclass engaging and fun. We brought home not only new culinary skills, but above all a beautiful memory. Highly recommended also for those who, like us, live in Tuscany and want to treat themselves to something special.
We had a fantastic morning and lunch at this beautiful villa. Our teacher, Irene, was welcoming and knowledgable. We can’t wait to recreate all the dishes at home! We highly recommend this course.
We had a lot of fun cooking in Tuscany with Irene. The setting was in a typical very old stable converted into an Italian kitchen…lots of fun!!
Lovely home with history, beautiful setting, appreciated being picked up and dropped off. Fun cooking experience and loved the opera singer!
So during the winter quiet season Lucrezia the owner sometimes visits friends in the US, and we were lucky enough to meet her here, and even luckier that she agreed to do an Opera in the Kitchen dinner for us and some friends in our home. The overwhelming response from our friends was “Best dinner party ever”. Under Lucrezia’s patient instruction we made the food together, ate our handiwork together, then Lucrezia brought in a fantastic opera singer she knew who just wowed everyone in the room. Somehow 5 hrs flew by and no one wanted to leave. I can only imagine how great this must be at her family’s beautiful estate in Italy. Highly recommended.
One of the highlights of our trip! The remote location added to the charm of the place and the views were exactly what to expect to see in this beautiful area! It is a renovated farmhouse and she has the pre-renovation photos and we loved that the room we cooked in was renovated into which a beautiful kitchen while keeping all of the character and charm of the original. We donned aprons and cooked right along side Lucrezia while sipping wine and hearing how she learned these recipes from her mama and nonna. We made two types of pasta and a dessert. Once it was all prepared we enjoyed eating while hearing the history of how they grow, harvest and process the extra virgin olive oil. Listening to the talented singer perform a serenade arias of Italian Opera was the perfect finishing touch. We could not have loved this more! Thank you Lucrezia for having us as guests in your home!
The cooking, food, opera, the full experience was awesome!! Definitely do this if you are in the Florence area!
We all had the most wonderful evening meeting new people and making new friends! Learning how to cook the delicious dishes, getting to eat what we made, and all the while being serenaded by the most charming singer - it was an evening none of us will soon forget!!!
Our family of four had an amazing experience at Opera in the Kitchen. Lulu and her fabulous staff made everyone feel at home. From touring the grounds, picking our vegetables, preparing the meal and finally eating the final product….every step was organized and inviting. Making the entire group feel like family. We walked in as 10 strangers, but walked out as friends exchanging contacts. The opera serenade during dessert was the icing on the cake!!
We spent a day in complete serenity and joy, preparing typical traditional dishes. Lucrezia and Cristina are true hosts, competent and friendly. The moment dedicated to opera singing made this day even more pleasant. The place, surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, surrounds the CASALE with stories that bring to mind values and feelings not to be forgotten and always remembered. THANK YOU.🤗
Lucrezia and Cristina followed us from picking the ingredients from the garden to plating.
The food we made was delicious and the experience was so much!
This was so much fun. We made two different types of pasta as well as a dessert. We started out picking fresh veggies from the garden that we then incorporated into our meal. Our kids had a great time as well and made the dessert all by themselves when they thought was neat. We would definitely do this again!
My wife and I stayed at Lucretia’s air bnb upstairs. We did the Opera in the kitchen our second night and just went downstairs, so convenient staying here. It was wonderful, this is a “must do” if you’re anywhere in the area. Highly highly recommend this.
Delightful afternoon and evening! Simple ingredients- that allowed 10 people to participate. Fun pasta lesson! And we all loved the meal we prepared!! Opera singer was so much fun!
Wonderful experience with Lucrezia at her home! We made a cavatelli from scratch and took away new lessons to try at home! Loved that she showed little tricks here and there as we prepped and cooked our meals. Highly recommend this experience to everyone in the Tuscan region. We are downloading the recipe book!
