Donatella was a wonderful host with a fabulous sense of humor. Passionate about good food, she showed us how to create simple dishes that tasted amazingly good. Would recommend; we have great time.
Donatella was the consummate host, preparing us the most delicious meal--caponata, ravioli and tiramisu. She, her son and nephew welcomed us into her home. We enjoyed the experience so much that we went the same evening to their Taormina based restaurant Siculishh! Thank you mamma!
She has an obvious passion for good food and a wonderful sense of humor. We had a great time cooking with her and the food was delicious. Highly recommend.
This class was so fun!!. There was enough time to do everything hands on! The class host was friendly and helpful and provided lots of info to take home. We are so glad to have this great memory!!
Our host was amazing! He was such a kind and engaging person who really connected with each of us, spending extra time with our 9 year old daughter to teach her each step of the way. The pasta and tiramisu were phenomenal! Inspired us to order a pasta maker to start making pasta at home. I HIGHLY recommend this experience! So thankful for such a wonderful host!!
This was such a fun experience for me and my friend. Making pasta from scratch has always been on my to do list, and am glad to have checked it off. I left notes in my request and they were acknowledged, which was very much appreciated. Overall, great chef, host, music, food, wine and ambience.
We went into the home of a local resident and was treated like royalty! We made pasta and then made a tiramisu! The evening was lovely and the creations we made were delicious
My wife and I loved this class. It was a lot of fun learning from the chef.
I would highly recommend this option if you are looking for a cooking class! It was SO much more than a cooking class! It was very personal and so lovely to spend time with our host. She welcomed us into her beautiful home just outside the city. We visited in her living room for a bit just to get to know each other and I instantly fell in love with our host. She was so informative and shared fun stories about life in Italy. We then moved to the kitchen and made tiramisu and pasta, drank wine and enjoyed treats. Once the meal was ready we all sat at her dining room table overlooking the city and ate a meal together while we shared more stories. It felt so personal and perfect, as it was just me, my daughter and our host. It felt more like having lunch with a friend, all the while experiencing more than just good food! I would absolutely not only recommend, but encourage this activity. It was wonderful and a highlight of our trip!
We had an excellent experience yesterday in our cooking class with Paola Tassi in Bologna!!! Paola was very knowledgeable and friendly. She opened her beautiful home to my husband and me and my brother and gave us an insight into Italian living and cooking. Simple, delicious foods were prepared and enjoyed. Paola’s extra touches were the icing on the cake! I hope to come back and enjoy another class sometime!!
