Excellent introduction to Indian food (we were a group of 3), the ingredients used and the principles of preparing a meal. We thoroughly enjoyed it!
Payal was the perfect cooking teacher! Going to the market with her was amazing and the cooking class was really interesting and the food we made delicious!!
I thoroughly enjoyed the cooking class with Payal. We met at the spice shop where she explained the spices that are used in cooking and the relative ratios and then we went to get the veggies at the market. Back at her kitchen we prepared the meal as she explained the processes involved in cooking Indian food and how and why they work. It was very enlightening and delicious, well worth the time.
We learned so much about Indian food, ingredients and why certain foods are eaten at certain times of the year! Thank you again for a wonderful morning of cooking!
We had a wonderful time with Payal during this cooking class. Payal took us to the market and explained to us all the different spices and vegetables. She was very open on the receipes and adapted them to the vegetables we had chosen at the market. She is a great teacher and very informative ,gave us many tips to cook the "indian style" and it was fantastic!
The cooking host named Payal is very friendly and welcoming. She took the time to explain not only the cooking step but also the ingredients used. Heading to the market for fresh produce, the store for spices and other goods and then back to cook up a delicious feast, Payal was there to help and guide the whole way. We had such a good time laughing, joking and learning that the class ran on into the late evening! The food we cooked and ate was lovelyI had a blast cooking in the kitchen and would certainly do it again!
It was absolutely the best experience in Jaipur. We started the class by going to a market. We bought some veggie and spice which we gonna use for the cooking later. Also, we learned a great deal about about the local food, traditions and culture of cooking and eating in Jaipur. Payal, the cooking host even gave me some spices to bring home. All the recipe is vey delicious and it was the most tasty meal in India that I had or the whole trip. Highly recommend this place!
My friends and I had a fantastic time at this class! Payal was knowledgable and really friendly, answering all of our many questions! Thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this day from the visit to the markets, to trying out recipes to eating our (delicious- even if I do say so myself) creations. We felt completely at ease in the lovely clean kitchen and would definitely recommend this class to anyone interesting in cooking, or just learning a little bit more about Indian culture. I can't wait to use my new skills to impress friends and family! A fantastic last day in Jaipur and an experience not easily forgotten.
I had the most wonderful experience in Jaipur with Payal. Not only did we get to have a bit of Indian lifestyle by going out for grocery shopping and spice shopping. It all seemed like our own place making dinner with friends. Payal was generous enough to teach us how to cook dinner but also to share some more recipies and little kitchen secrets so that we could improve. And it was all a blast. I totally recomend this experience for those who want to be closer to indian culture, for those looking forward to learn some indian dishes or just for those looking for a different experience. If you plan travelling alone, Jaipur Home Cooking will provide a nice place for you to stay at as well.
