The personalized approach, expert instruction, and high-quality ingredients made for an unforgettable experience. Whether you're a seasoned cook or a beginner, this class offers something for everyone and is a must-do activity when visiting Palermo.
I recommend doing this experience of cooking together and sharing food followed by masters of Sicilian cuisine Thanks for the wonderful welcome..
The experience was unforgettable, showcasing the creativity and depth of Italian cuisine in a visually stunning manner. for the ambiance, it was lovely, and some dishes, like Anchovies Fish balls, are outstanding.
From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. The menu, which alternates between black and white themed dishes, offers a unique and visually stunning experience.
We love food and took this class for an enjoyable end to our visit to Sicily. It was very informative, fun and the food was delicious! Mamma Corleone timed this class perfectly! First, we made our pistachio dessert so it would chill for after dinner. Next, we prepared a pasta dough. While that rested we prepared eggplant. Then we made meatballs and tomato sauce. We cut the dough into tagliatelle and then put it all together for a wonderful meal of pasta alla Norma. A bottle of wine was opened to add to that authentic dining experience. Lorenzo helped with the English translation and his humor and energy kept this a fun class. All of us consider ourselves pretty good at cooking and walked away with added tips.
Maria-Pia and Lorenzo are very talented cooks and teachers, and were so friendly and entertaining. We made the best meatballs I've had in my entire life, delicious pasta with eggplant, and an amazing pistachio dessert. It was very authentic, and I would recommend this to any visitor to Palermo. Grazie mille!!
Excellent experience. La mamma and the student translating charming, location perfect, food delicious. The magic of creating the most extraordinary out of very few, basic ingredients and simple, non-engineered cooking. We highly recommend.
My husband and I took the street food class because we wanted to try something authentic to Sicily and it was such a wonderful experience that we will always remember. Mamma Corleone was so sweet and helpful and explained things well so that it felt easy. Our interpreter was great and since it was just my husband and I in the class, we all chatted about all sorts of things while drinking wine and making some of the most delicious food we had in all of Italy. We will be attempting to remake the food at home. Highly recommend taking one of her classes, you will love her and her food!
Great class! Maria Pia was an excellent source of knowledge and Lorenzo did a fantastic job not only translating but adding some humor and even taking pictures for us. Highly recommend! Btw the class is down an alleyway, don't worry -- you're in the right place. Just come a couple minutes before the time and they'll be there!
Maria, Pia and Lorenzo did an absolutely wonderful job. It was the perfect pace, the space was gorgeous and those two made it so special. It was so personal and the food was absolutely delicious… I can’t wait to do my next class!
Maria Pia, Lorenzo and Rlham were fantastico. They were all very knowledgeable, kind with a great sense of humor. We truly learned a lot and enjoy our time cooking. It's a must while in Palermo.
The class was set up well, perfect location, perfect food, perfect teacher and translator. Bellissima!!! Best cooking class.
We had a great time learning how to cook a fine Italian dinner from scratch. The cooking lab was small and intimate (with air conditioning!!!) and the staff were fabulous. Can't wait to test out or new found cooking skills at home!
We absolutely loved our cooking class in Palermo! We had so much fun, learnt loads and made the most delicious pasta alla Norma and meatballs!!! We can’t wait to recreate these dishes when we get home!
Wonderful class with Flavia! The location is very convenient, on a side street in the historic district. Small and efficient kitchen with plenty of elbow room for making a wonderful meal. We made eggplant alla Norma and a roll up eggplant with orange bread. Fabulous! highly recommend!
Mamma Corleone is a family business whose mission is to share with other cooking lovers their passion and knowledge about Sicilian food and taste. To enhance this value, a real Sicilian Mamma drives Mamma Corleone's kitchen, in the heart of the old town, very close to the Cathedral of Palermo. Mamma Corleone was born in the historic centre of Palermo, just a few steps from the Cathedral, in a characteristic alleyway of the 17th century, which represents the city in its traditions and culture.
Maria Pia is a real Sicilian Mamma, mother of 4 that has an authentic and true experience in cooking traditional Sicilian dishes. Her cooking abilities are very popular among her friends and Mamma Corleone's customers. As a host at Mamma Corleone's venue, she has been very appreciated as a teacher of street food and traditional recipes.
Mamma Corleone is not just a cooking class, it is an authentic experience to meet locals, learn to cook some traditional dishes and enjoy a meal with a glass of wine.
