Well organized and funny.
My meal was excellent, the energy within the class was awesome, staff was enthusiastic!!! I was so full from my first 2 dishes that I had to bring the last dish in a takeout container. I would recommend this to my friends!!! Great job guys...
Class was great, small group of people Canada. USA and Taiwan. Would try full day again next time! Gregory Ottawa, Canada 🇨🇦
Everything was well organized. The place is something very special, it is charming. Our teacher was kind, funny and well explained everything. The food we cooked was delecious, in spite the lack of my cooking experience. A true 5 star experience!
It was a great family experience, we learned a lot and got to eat great food that we made! The teachers were so sweet and helpful; we would highly recommend this class to anyone!
This was very well organized. The instructor was patient and clear. Everything was well done from the market tour to the food preparation and cooking.
The class was great, we did the half day evening class, you got to learn about the ingredients which are all really fresh. You didn’t feel rushed at all whilst cooking and the group you’re in is small enough that you don’t feel like a number!! Fresh ingredients, great dishes to choose from but do not eat a thing before you go as you get loads of food out of it! Takeaway offered as well if you’re too full to eat any of it there!
The class was fast paced and so much fun! Our instructor was funny and kind to all levels of experience with cooking. Mama Noi’s garden is also super cute and fun to walk around in while they prepared our ingredients. Food turned out super tasty, probably our best meal in Chiang Mai!
Such good fun and well worth every penny. Peanut was very informative and made the whole experience easy and fun. Cant wait to try the dishes when we go home!
I would regretted a lot if I missed this class All the staffs were so nice and gentle and food tasted better than any other restaurants
The class was awesome. The food was delicious and the instructor was great as well. It was a great time.
It was a Sunday morning well spent at the cooking class with my husband who can’t cook and my adult son who wants to start cooking more often. Except for the flies( cos it’s that time of the year, we were told ), it was an enjoyable time learning to stir fry, pound the curry ingredients which gave off fragrance almost immediately and picking up some useful tips for thai cooking. They have a lovely garden with a pond, nice environment. And they provided transport , which was helpful.
We love my family and me this classroom . It was really fun and the dishes were very good
This was a great experience in Chiang Mai, there were multiple options and the class was very interesting and dynamic. The location is super nice as well, on a little farm where they grow their own produce. Very friendly team. Highly recommend!
A great experience cooking Thai food in the place that is extremely well managed. The best activity we had in Thailand!
Peanut was nice and devoted. The half-day program was well organized. The place where we cooked was nice as well.
We had an amazing time at Mama Noi's cooking class. We made 3 amazing dishes, you can select which dish you would like to make, and we were so full from the first two that we weren't able to finish eating the third dish. The instructions were quite easy to follow and Peanut, our instructor provided a very entertaining and enjoyable class. Highly recommend this experience and one of the best pad thai we had in all of Thailand!
My boyfriend and I had an incredible experience. The staff was funny and friendly. I’ve never cooked such delicious food. Couldn’t have been a better experience!
Food was excellent! I never thought that ill be coming home with the knowledge of cooking Thai cuisine. Even though i am not a professional cook, the lesson was advance however the instructor helped me understand and follow and the process patiently. We had a tour at the local market and the school's own organic herb garden. The staff were very accommodating and we got to share some good laugh, great conversation and topics under the sun. Then we all feasted with delight and great taste.
It was the great experience in ChiangMai. We learned how to cook Thai dishes and I enjoyed the meals. However the market tour was boring and the farm was too small. It would be better if we can buy or pick up the herbs ourselves. Btw, thank you.
My friends and I adored this class and learned so much! The trip to the market was just a quick stop (the school already had all the ingredients) but was a fun detour. The farm is beautiful and the cooking pavilions are large and well organized. Our cooking teacher, "Peanut" was friendly, funny, and spoke impressive English. They laid out all the ingredients for our choice of dishes, and described each one, then walked us though preparing each course. Everything we made was delicious! Don't worry if you can't eat everything in one sitting; the kitchen can package your food to take with you. At the end of the class they gave each of us a beautiful recipe book, so we can make these recipes again one we get home.
I loved every moment of this experience - thank you Mama Noi! The hosts were awesome, hilarious and had a wonderful energy about them. It was a pleasure being in their warm and vibrant hospitality and the food was knock out!
Très bel endroit, belle et grande ferme, très spacieux pour cuisiner, excentré le dépaysement est au rdv, la prof de cuisine était très facile à suivre et très dynamique !
The farm is a beautiful place and nice scenery to spend the day at. Our teacher was funny and very clear in her instructions. I enjoyed the full day class a lot. They were so nice to pack us the rest of our self prepared dishes, as 5 dishes are a lot.
Thoroughly enjoyed the entire day. All of the staff were amazing and so friendly with very good English. Peanut showed us the fresh produce at the market and she was very knowledgable. Nook was our teacher and i loved her energy and character, such an awesome personality. The recipe book that I received to take home is of an amazingly high quality and much better then what I was expecting. My only negative might be that the meal sizes were too large and I was far to full to finish all of them, which seemed a common comment from others in the group. It felt a shame to see good food thrown out. A very small minor gripe on an otherwise awesome experience and as stated in my title this was the highlight of my trip to Chiang Mai. I will definitely be recommending you to any friends who visit in the future. Thank you all so much for an unforgettable day.
I attended the full day class and my teacher was Aim. I was picked up from my hotel and after a couple more stops to pick up others we were off to the market where the locals shop. Peanut showed us the herbs and spices we would be using. We only had 10 minutes to look around the market before we drove a short distance to the cooking school. The school is a lot bigger than I had thought and there were three lessons taking place at the same time. Aim was a very good teacher and very entertaining, keeping us laughing throughout the day. The full day course consists of six or seven dishes (I lost count!!) and even though you only cook a portion size for one person, by the end of the day you seriously could burst. As you cook all the dishes yourselves, it is up to you how spicy you make them. I can't eat seafood or mushrooms and chilli gives me migraines, so I just left those ingredients out. At the end of the day I was dropped back to my hotel. I would definitely recommend this cooking school to anyone.
The course: We took the evening cooking course (17:00-21:00). It begun with pickup between 4 and 4:45, and they arrived roughly 4:30. We then picked up other guests and had a short visit to the market where the cooking instructor met us and showed us the fresh ingredients we’d be using, when they are typically used and what flavours they contribute, and we passed them round. We then had 15 mins to explore the market. Contrary to some other reviews I enjoyed this experience and thought it added a nice touch. We then drove to the farm based cooking course and sat down in our groups to pick the 3 recipes we individually wanted to make. One soup, one stir fry and one curry. We also had the choice of vegetarian option with tofu vs meat. Essentially we were organised into a few groups colour coded by plates, and the instructor was able to simultaneously instruct us all despite our dishes being different. I appreciated this, as it helped you appreciate the similarities between dishes and how certain Ingredients form the backbone of Thai dishes. I appreciated how vegetarian substitutions/options were offered for every applicable ingredient. We then all ate the food we cooked. We also made Thai tea, which was delicious. We were also given at the end a cookbook of all recipes on offer in all courses (half day morning and evening, full day) and then drop off back to the hotels. Overall comments: Very pleased with the value for money of the course, including pick up and drop off, the cookbook, and a very large amount of good food to eat including the option to take the last course (the curry) home if we were too full up. The cookbook was very good, including details of all the ingredients with pictures, the flavours they contribute, the curry pastes, and the dishes. Love it! The course itself felt a bit rushed, as 3-4 different dishes being cooked by different people, but (having never done a cooking course before) I would assume this is very much the norm in these cooking schools if people are offered the choice to cook their own menu. The instructor is excellent and managed it well and I didn’t feel neglected or unable to keep up.
Loved the idea of going to market but would have enjoyed more time exploring it as many of the fruits, vegetables, and spices are not known to those of us from diverse backgrounds. Overall, fun time cooking and learning. Aime was entertaining and friendly. Thank you for the opportunity.
It was so much fun! The only “bad” thing about it, was that we couldn’t eat all 7 meals
We took the half day class and we loved meeting the people in our group and learning to cook the Thai foods! Our guide was great at teaching and the food was delicious! I would recommend this to anyone, even if you don't love cooking! It's a great experience for anyone.
