The whole experience was ok. I didn’t enjoy the cooking class that much because I expected a little more hands on but ok. Market was interesting and boat ride enjoyable.
We booked the afternoon class two days in advance and everything was great! What we didn't know (but we could have knew)was that the cooking class in the morning is better to visit the market. (In the afternoon you just see some of the seafood) We were unlucky to had bad weather due to monsoon that we had to shorten the boat tour on the river. BUT Thao was the cutest and best Chef we could have imagined for the class! The food was super delicious and everything was so interesting(making ricepapers!). Everything was well organised, the ingredients were fresh and again, Thao was super nice! We highly recommend this cooking class, if you want to learn a little about Vietnamese food and if you want to feel Asian hospitality :) Thumbs up!!!
An enjoyable market tour & cooking class.
We choose the cooking class as our Valentine's celebration. The cooking school is a very beautiful restaurant located next to the river. Very warm welcome by cooking captain ms Bella. Although the class was late for 30 minutes while waiting for another teams arrival, but still enjoy the environment with a cup of coffee. Cooking class sequence followed in a schedule, went smooth and very enjoyable. Finally, our dishes were served at the table, looking at the river view, this is the most perfect day in our Hoi An journey.
Hoa was wonderful. Very good teacher, careful, thoughtful, conscientious. The Pho and the Moneybags were definitely our favorites. When you go, the street number is 19/04. The 04 means you have to go down to the river side of the building, not the street side. We didn’t know, and waited on the street side...
Loving the boat trip with my friend Sofia! And wait, there’s more! After getting to know the taste of ginger and chia seed drink we were introduced to various Vietnamese herb spice. It was very helpful as we will try to add it to our future dishes back home. But the best part it is, we got to cook Vietnamese cuisine with the help of a very respectable chef! It was truly a lovely cooking experience. The culture was so enticing that i never thought of it that way. We came home with another knowledge and skill from another country.
We absolutely loved it. We learnt a lot, had fun and then treated like kings. We would recommend this to everyone.
We really enjoyed the walk through the market and got to learn about some new foods. When Van, our teacher, learned we had never tried jackfruit, she even bought some for us to try, and she showed us the ingredients we would use in the class. Then we had a quick boat ride back to the restaurant, where we cooled off with a lovely ginger and chia seed drink. After that, we got to cooking. Van was a warm and patient teacher, and we enjoyed getting to try new techniques. The food was great, too! Overall, this was a very good experience and I recommend it.
We were 7 in a family with our father in low who is 82 years old and we had a great time with Kahn who is our chef. It was very interesting to make steamed rice paper and other dishes which are so simple and delicious. All are well prepared in a nice restaurant with a river view and we had a diner with what we made during our cooking class. Thanks a lot for giving us such a great experience during our trip. I strongly recommend this class to everyone.

We had such a great time with Kahn who was our chef. We visited market which was very crowdy due to Tet's eve and took a boat whose itinery was not long so not boring at all. Juste nice time to take pictures on river view. Making a steamed rice paper was very interesting. All cuisines we made are simple and very good. Very good atmosphere with Kahn who is our chef. We were seven in family and we really enjoyed this cooking class and I definitly recommand it.
We booked the afternoon class. Ended up being the only two participants. Boat ride back to restaurant was nice. Cooking lesson was really nice though. Good variety in the meals prepared, chef really nice. Overall, good experience for the money.

Great class. The food I cooked tasted delicious. I feel very able to replicate at home and I’m looking forward to sharing these dishes with friends and family. They give you recipe information too.
A great half day that included a visit to a local farm and market. The class was excellent. I feel able to try the dishes at home. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed eating our food at the end. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they really looked after us.
We really enjoyed our cooking class and got to eat everything we made afterwards. Food we made was appropriate and our chef could speak English well. Well organized and we would definitely recommend.

All in all it was a great class. Trinh was an excellent chef and very knowledgeable. It was nice to see the market and do the boat ride. We had a small group which made it intimate and Trinh was able to answer all our questions. Food was great too!
We were so happy we booked the class with the villiage visit. We enjoyed seeing the different vegetables that were grown and enjoyed learning a little more about the Vietnamese culture. The cooking class was fun and set up very well.
This cooking class is one of the most amazing experiences I have done here Vietnam. The chef was really nice and knowledged. I learned how to male fresh spring rolls which are my favourites. And the food tasted amazing. Highly recommend this class!
The boat tour was quite an adventurous experience and totally different from any cooking class I've done before. The chef started the lesson by introducing the fresh ingredients from the local market tour. Great time!
Cooking class plus vegetable garden and market tour was a blast! It all tasted amazing! Even though my daughter is allergic to some ingredients, they kindly adapted it for her right away. I truly appreciated that. Dao Tien is absolutely a wonderful class and great use of time!!
We had the most wonderful time. the chef was very friendly, funny and really knowledgable and went out of her way to make our experience absolutely amazing. We made egg plant in claypot and also a very delicious spicy banana leaf fish. The whole setting is by the beautiful river which made it even more memorable.
The class started with a walk through the local market for fresh ingredients and then a short boat ride to the class. My boyfriend and I cooked and ate fresh spring rolls with shrimp, mango salad with stir fried beef, skewers of chicken, peppers, lemon leaves and onions. Finally a cabbage broth with shrimps cooked in a clay pot. It turned out to be our greatest activity in Hoi An. And of course, the result is a fabulous lunch. Thoroughly recommend this class!
Cooking class and educational tours of organic gardens and market were a blast! We made rice paper, fresh spring rolls, money bags, fish wrapped in banana leaf, and eggplant in clay pot. Lyly was quick to adapt to my daughters mushroom allergy as well as answer all my many garden and market questions with ease! Absolutely a great class and use of time while in Hoi An, staffed with complete professionals. Thanks Lyly for teaching us so much so fast!!! Both my son and daughter have talked about the class many times since.
