This cooking experience is for those travelers who wish to gain insight into an Indian home and interact with an Indian middle-class family while learning to prepare a traditional Indian meal, dessert, and drink.

You will get to see how homes in India are styled and furnished and how a local family lives in India.

You will discover the culinary heritage and cultural values of India, beyond just the food. You will also get an opportunity to learn some useful Hindi words and sentences in a fun activity that you can use during your travels.

Meet Your Host

Nidhi

I am a homemaker and very passionate about cooking. I have been using my skills to make exquisite delicacies for more than 27 years. Being a perfect host comes naturally to me. I frequently host kitty parties and get-together events at my home and am always complimented for my cooking, with people asking me to teach them how to make a particular dish. In India, it is believed food made with love and warmth tastes much better than a chef in a restaurant who is just doing his job. I have hosted 850+ Guests from more than 80 countries on various platforms in last 6+ years since I started doing such Experiences. My husband, Roopak, shall be my co-host.

A highlight of our trip to India!

We had a fantastic experience during the cooking class as a family - definitely a highlight of our trip to India. They were warm and welcoming and provided insights into the medicinal properties and meaning of different foods. The meal was absolutely delicious and it was lovely to sit down and enjoy the meal together.

Our experience with Mr. Roopak and Mrs. Nidhi was truly unforgettable.

This was so much more than a food tasting or a cooking class it was a heartfelt cultural journey. This wonderful couple welcomed us into their beautiful home and made us feel like part of their family for four hours. They introduced us to the essence of Indian culture, its cuisine, spirituality, language, and traditions, sharing stories and wisdom with warmth and sincerity. It genuinely felt like being cared for by our own parents. Their hospitality is extraordinary, and this experience is something no amount of money can buy. An absolute must for anyone wanting to experience the real heart and soul of Delhi.

Such a lovely experience with lovely hosts.

This was more than just a cooking class, it was an honour to be invited into the hosts home to learn more then, there lives and about India. They made us feel very welcome and safe and I would recommend to anyone. I do hope to return one day ☺️

Meeting Point

Option 1 - The Guest can arrive by Cab / Uber at Sanskriti Apartment, Sector 19B, Dwarka, Delhi - 110075. I will meet the Guest inside the Sanskriti Apartment and then take him/her into my home for the Experience.

Option 2 - My home is just 5 min. (by car) from the nearest Metro Station which is "Dwarka Sector 10" on the Blue Line of Delhi Metro. I can pick up & drop off the Guest from the Metro Station at no extra cost.

In both Options, the Guest will receive detailed instructions from me after booking.
