What to Expect

Cooking has been a lifelong passion of mine, and since 2011, I’ve had the joy of sharing my traditional Rajasthani recipes with guests from all over the world. In this 2–3 hour hands-on workshop, you’ll feel like part of the family as we cook together in a welcoming home setting.

You’ll learn how to prepare up to 9 authentic dishes—from flavorful curries to fresh chapatis and fragrant rice—using time-honored techniques and spices that have been passed down through generations. This is more than just a cooking class; it’s a cultural experience that offers a taste of real Rajasthan, with stories, laughter, and delicious food at the heart of it all.

Come hungry to learn, and leave with the skills and memories to recreate these special meals at home.

Experience Flow:

Pick-up from your hotel, followed by a drive to my village, Salawas, to my home.
Receive a traditional Rajasthani welcome with tikka and aarti.
Begin by preparing all the vegetables and starting the cooking session.

A Warm, Authentic, and Unforgettable Cooking Experience

Just back from a beautiful day spent at Mamata and Chhotaram's family home. It was the perfect balance of engagement, discovery, enjoyment and learning. From the moment I was collected I felt at ease and confident I was in good hands which I appreciated as a solo traveller. Even getting there was fun! The whole family were absolutely lovely and warm hearted. There home is very authentic and I felt privileged to be there. We created the whole meal from start to finish and then sat down together to eat it. Although I'm a foodie and love Indian food I learned an enormous amount from the day. I'll be definitely doing my best to recreate the magic when I get home! Truly a wonderful cultural experience. Almost forgot to mention the food was delicious!! Special thanks for adapting to a vegan menu✨✨✨ Highly recommend if you would like to treat yourself to a wonderful experience.
