Welcome to a cooking experience where tradition meets taste, and every dish tells a story. Our class is more than just learning recipes—it’s a journey into the heart of rural Indian culture, guided by local women home cooks who carry forward generations of culinary wisdom.

You’ll discover the art of traditional Indian vegetarian cooking, explore the use of spices and flavors in everyday meals, and prepare dishes using authentic methods such as a firewood stove (Chula).

Beyond cooking, you’ll enjoy a warm cultural exchange over a shared meal, and take home not only recipes but also memories that will last a lifetime.

• Masala Chai (Tea), Black Tea, Coffee, or Lemon Juice
• Wheat Chapati
• Millet Bread (Pearl Millet Flatbread)
• Plain Steamed Rice or Jeera Rice
• Garlic Chili
• Mixed Vegetables
• Aubergine (Eggplant)
• Okra (Lady Finger)
• Masala Paratha
• Yogurt Curry
• Masala Rice (Khichdi)

We offer options for our guests and prepare dishes according to their preferences.

Schedule

• 2:30 PM – Pick-up from your hotel within Jodhpur city.
• 3:10 PM – Visit a local market to buy fresh vegetables.
• 3:30 PM – Arrive at my homestay.
• 3:30 PM – Introduction to the cooking class and my family.
• 3:45 PM – Begin the cooking class.
• 7:00 PM – Finish cooking, then relax for 15–20 minutes before enjoying dinner.
• 7:30 PM – Depart from the homestay.
