Your day begins in a cozy, private setting where you’ll explore the surrounding land, discover what’s in season, and gain insight into the region’s agricultural traditions. Back in the kitchen, you’ll work with fresh, cultivated mushrooms sourced from a trusted local grower as you prepare a delicious meal together as a group.

Using simple techniques and guided instruction, you’ll cook with your hands, deepen your understanding of seasonal cuisine, and enjoy the rewarding process from preparation to plate. The experience concludes with a shared meal, celebrating the flavors you’ve created and the unforgettable atmosphere of this charming farm.

Menu

• Mushroom Soup:  savory soup using a blend of Cremini, Portobello and potato. We focus on the technical preparation—cleaning and slow-cooking the mushrooms to develop a deep, earthy base and paired with Barbera d'Asti 
• Sautéed Mushroom & Seasonal Vegetable Orzo: A hands-on lesson in sautéing Porcini, Pleurotus, Cornucopia, and Pioppino finishing the dish with fresh-harvested garden vegetables and aromatics.
• Hazelnut Cake: A classic cake made with local hazelnuts paired with Moscato d'Asti  

Schedule

• The instructor will pick you up at Villafranca-Cantarana station and drive you to the farm.
