Zura's Home Vegan/Plant Based Cooking of Malaysian Dishes

About

This is a vegan/plant-based home cooking class of veganized version of Malaysian dishes. Chef Zura has been adopting a vegan lifestyle for the past 6 years and with decades of experience in cooking and used to work at family owned restaurant, she has been experimenting with lots of interesting ingredients and products. So here we have 3 different dishes from the vegan main dish, side dish and vegan dessert. We're going to prepare almost every thing from scratch.

Choose either Option 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 below:

Option 1:

• Vegan rendang tok
• Acar nenas/timun  
• Vegan ice cream
• Serve together with brown rice

Option 2:

• Paceri nenas (pineapple dish)
• Bergedel sayur (vegetable patties)
• Vegan ice cream 
• Serve together with brown rice

Option 3:

• Vegan burger, burger buns
• Burger patties - 3 types
• Mango salsa 

*serve together with homemade ketchup and mayonnaise.

Option 4:

• Kuey teow goreng (Flat rice noodles)
• Karipap pusing (Spiral curry puff)
• Vegan ice cream

Option 5:

• Malay style rojak (Assortments of vegetable/fritters/beancurd cakes with spicy peanut gravy)
• Stuffed bean curd
• Vegan ice cream

Option 6:

• Lontong (rice cakes with coconut based gravy)
• Kuih ketayap (rolled local pancake with sweet grated coconuts)
• Vegan ice cream

Schedule

Upon arrival, you will be served some cold drinks.

• 10:00 am: Basic introduction to local dishes and the ingredients.
• 10:30 am: The class start with the prep work for dish 1 and 2
• 11:00 am: Start cooking for dish 1 and later dish 2 
• 12:00 pm: Dessert session 
• 1:00 pm: Sit down and enjoy our meal
• 2:00 pm: End of the class
