What to Expect

The Balinese Gastronomy Experience highlights the inseverable relationship between food and culture. You'll understand the art of preparing and serving appetizing food, how Balinese cooking styles vary depending on the region, and the science behind enjoying eating.

This immersive experience starts early for a trip to local market to get the ingredients for the day. After the market tour, you'll undoubtably be ready for a healthy breakfast. With a full stomach you'll be taking on a tour of the local farm and learn more about what it takes to produce the food you'll eventually cook.

When you arrive at the cooking venue, you'll discover a beautiful open area inside of a resort with stunning view of the paddies field. Under the guidance of a Balinese gourmet chef, you'll learn how to prepare delicous local food. This includes a delicious dessert!

During this experience it'll become clear to you, gastronomy as many faceted; it involves discovering, researching, experiencing, and understanding food production, preparation, and consumption of human nutrition as a whole. It tells us how nutrition is interwined with the broader culture of a region or country.

The chef will share his secret recipes with you for you to take with you where ever you go in life. Besides that, you'll be awared with a cooking certificate to impress your friends and family back home!

• Roroban udang (Authentic Balinese prawn soup, infused aromatic, yellow paste natural coconut stock)
• Jukut tuwung sambel kukus (Vegetable fried eggplant, teamed red chili)
• Pesan be pasih (Char grilled wrapped strips fish, marinated with yellow paste Infused local lemon basil)
• Grangasem ayam (Stew chicken in yellow paste broth, infused lemongrass salam leaf)
• Klepon Poach pandan (dumpling with grated coconut stuffed palm sugar sauce)

• 9:00 am: Simple Breakfast at Kuwarasan A Pramana Experience
• 10:45 am: Organic farm tour
• 11:00 am: Introduction to cooking session and ingredients
• 11:15 am: Start cooking session
• 1:00 pm: Lunch with the creation
